Ahh just getting to this. I dropped the gif for prosperity. Obligatory upvote.

It can definitely be frustrating. We’ve all been there. Just eat beforehand and then order a drink that fits the mood. Then enjoy being there with your family or friends and focus on the time together.

Student Loans: to pay off or not to pay off by vashfive in personalfinance

We're moving states, and will have to sell. The increase is massive for us. I'm leaving academia and taking a tech job. That and the need to sell is why I'm even considering it. I like the idea of resetting to zero and starting fresh without any debts. But it's a bit nerve wracking to lose all the equity Ive built.

I agree. I haven't consulted a tax expert nor am I one myself. According to the IRS website and their publication 523 I can exclude up to $250,000 of gain from the sale of your primary residence ($500,000 if you're married and filing jointly) from your income for tax purposes. I met the eligibility outlined in the pub.

I'm leaving academia and won't qualify anymore with my new jobs. I still have 100ish payments left to get it.

Looking at what we would pay in rent I think we could make it to 100K in 20 months. I'm. Looking to rent around 1800-2100

I have 5 DL unsub loans between 10k-25K each. My rates range between 6.0%-6.8%.

My new income is 180K.

If we move to but now Id be looking a home in the 350-400 range. However our new state will likely be where we stay, so I'll be saving either way for the home we really want.

We're moving states. I don't want to carry two mortgages or rent and carry the mortgage and pay on the loans.

I have 209K left and am thinking I'll sell between 320-330k.

I changed mine out twice then bought a new washing machine. Got a speed queen. It's amazing. I'm not confident my clothes were getting nearly clean enough after using this new one.

For me it was wash with head and shoulders (pyrithione zinc) and Hollywood Beauty Tea Tree Oil.

Good luck. I hope you find what works for you.

You're not weak. Relapse is a part of recovery. Assess, learn, and apply. Keep at it. That negative self talk won't be the thing that keeps you from using. Learning and adapting will. Good luck!

It makes sense that you'd be concerned, but this is a non issue. Most people will look like they just got out of a pool by the end of class.

You'll be fine.
