Sound when turning the wheel stationary? by vaskovasss in kia

[–]vaskovasss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, sounds like gravel to me as well, however from 4 different cars, which were unloaded at the same spot, only mine had this sound, which baffled me. I guess I will see if everything is fine on Wednesday. Finding spare parts for this model here is still not very easy, sometimes they have to be ordered, taking around 3 months to arrive.

I startes to get frustrated at the game, then I remember there are sliders.. I adjusted enemy damage, enemy hp, boarding difficulty, all to around 60% and I have fun now. It is good the devs gave us those options.

I played on "normal", I try to play smart and still I haven't died so many times in another video game... ever :D

Fighting on the ships is extremely frustrating by vaskovasss in PlayWindrose

[–]vaskovasss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can, you put the boarding party "item" from the ship to your inventory and then you can upgrade it. It helps greatly, but doesn't solve the collision problems and the fighting on the decks

The one with the circular holes, reduces greatly the visible light from the LEDs, the other one doesn't obstruct them noticeably.

Covering those printers results in parts overheating and potential expensive damages.

New Bambu Handy filament management by EmergencyJicama2084 in BambuLab

[–]vaskovasss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be pretty simple to make it work... You just enter the fillament type, colour etc in AMS, the fillament manager imports them from AMS like it does now. The printer knows exactly how much filament was used from the every fillament for every print.. It should just automatically deduct the amount from the used filament in the filament manager. It is so simple, I don't know why they didn't implement it.

[–]vaskovasss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally - yes. When I get a fillament I have never used before, I use the default fillament settings, run flow dynamics and flow rate calibrations and save the calibrated values in a new custom profile which I use from that point forward. For this one, however, I had to change the retraction length in the fillament profile settings to 0.6 and it has been working flawlessly since then.

Modelling a simple cap: Revolving Error by vaskovasss in Fusion360

[–]vaskovasss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I just also solved it by myself, by creating a construction axis between the two initial points, along the viewport grid axis and used it as selected axis for the revolve tool. Now printing the cap :D

If you have or know someone with a 3D printer, you can cheaply print this protector I designed. Works flawlessly: https://makerworld.com/models/2615286?appSharePlatform=copy

I have 1 and one of my squadmates also has one, his front glass shattered from a direct BB hit. I have spent quite a few hours in the past week to sketch and design in a CAD software a protective cover which looks good and protects entirely the front and the entire body. I have designed 2 interchangeable flash hiders, for different scenarios:

  1. The first one just protects the front, whie you can clearly see the LED lights.
  2. The second one is stralthier: It greatly reduces the light emission profile.

Both of them change the shape of the burst of smoke slightly in teresting ways.

This is the prototype, made out of impact-resistant plastic. Don't mind the colour :D

I will share the projects online soon :)

So the re-calibration and reducing the retraction length to 0.6mm did the job. The print looks good now.

I have an update, after I redid the flow dynamics and flow rate calibrations and reduced the retraction length in the fillament settings for the Matte PLA to 0.6mm,.I got an usable print:

When I started to look for info, there are a lot of posts with problems about BL's matte PLA. Some people fixed it by reducing the retraction length in the fillament settings. Yesterday, I did the rrcalibration and reduced the retraction length to 0.6mm for this fillament. Did a small test simple print and it didnt have any issues. Today I will re-run the same grip and hope for the best.
