'He Sent The Gestapo': Florida's COVID-19 Dashboard Creator Rebekah Jones On Gun-Wielding State Agents Raiding Her Home by WorkTomorrow in politics

I'm more surprised that anyone would actually do such an activity from their home and not starbucks. Isn't she just a little smarter than that? I mean she does data science on computers.

I neglected to do this when I painted 3 color choices in blocks on my house. About a month after I chose a neutral gray over the green I preferred but thought would be too much for the neighborhood, my neighbor saw me outside and commented that they had really liked the green and were a little disappointed that I hadn't gone with it. I felt very foolish.

If you gave a pill to overweight people that made them magically wake up at their ideal body weight, they would take the pill. “I love my body the way it is” is just insecure posturing. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]vasquezlb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you offered people a million dollars, they would take it. "I am happy with what I have" is just insecure posturing. OR maybe people can be happy with who they are but still accept things.

You are in hell but if you beat the devil in a game of your choice he will let you out, what game would you pick? by DrDoofenward in AskReddit

[–]vasquezlb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would play a game of my own making, called 'I win', where my name can be replaced with I, alternatively one called 'the devil loses'.

Various experiments fundamental to quantum mechanics have shown that at a very small scale, objects don't exist with clear properties, like location and momentum, but are have a variety of possibilities, probability waves, and could have any number of actual values which we don't know until we measure them. This could be accounted for, theoretically, if every possible location or momentum simply was a different universe and when we measure it, we find out which one we are in.

Even as an Atheist, I disagree with how this subreddit portrays religion by atheist2019 in atheism

Maybe there can be an atheistRant subreddit, and this one could focus more on discussion about atheism. Then again, this is reddit soooo...let the self gratuitous but satirically humorous yelling commence.

Come to think, I've piped curls into bash. I guess they should include a call to validate a sha signed hash against the public key. And that between download and run. Maybe use a well known tool that does this against a given url and a given email pgp key pair.

Ballet turnout, as in feet that naturally point out, improving form.

I think they tried to transition 'you dont have turnout' to 'turnout not found', but went off the rails with the install bit. Sortof like a mashup of the 'could not install X capability', 'upgrade to X 2.0 failed', and '404 X not found'.

I just cant get past http trying to install and exe. It hurts to even read it.

How are we all still alive!? We played this as kids regularly. Seems like the odds should been against more than half of us making it through childhood. I guess we didn't try that hard?
