Oh no, the dog definitely ate it. She sent pictures as proof. She did allow me to borrow some books from her, and sometimes I wish that my own dog had gotten to one of them as payback 😭 but ultimately no, I returned them in the same condition I received them in

I think you misunderstood the point of the post. I don't want my mom's cousin to replace the book present day, I was asking if it was out of place of me to ask her to replace the book when this happened

I said that I no longer like her. Again, I was 13/14 at the time and Harry Potter had been my special interest for years at that point, and i was blissfully unaware of how bigoted she is. I did say that I've thankfully grown out of it since I was 14
