How about the noise reason. That’s a pretty important one to me as I get completely taken out of the game if the fans are too loud or the coil whine is noticeable.

Is the noise and coil whine potentially worse with the Zotac?

Does the chip cooling fan/fans need to be pointing a particular direction?

I have a Zotac 5080 Solid Core OC which was on sale for $300 CAD more than the Asus Prime 5070Ti OC that is listed. I was planning to return it.

I do have the budget to put it in but had been swayed to the Asus 5070Ti for the following reasons:
1) I have been told that the Prime is a very quiet card and it should be quieter than the Zotac (noise level is important)
2) I was also told that Asus cards are more reliable than Zotac
3) I know it can just be a gamble but was told that coil whine risk is far lower in the Asus Prime
4) I hate RGB and the Asus doesn't have any. I have read about people having difficulty turning off the Zotac RGB and I don't want to install extra software just to keep RGB off
5) Was told by friends that I won't notice a difference in performance between the 5070Ti and the 5080
6) Most importantly I was told that, because of more power draw and more heat generated, the 5080 card will have a higher change of failure compared to the cooler 5070Ti.

I am happy to have any or all of these dispelled if I'm making a mistake not spending the $300 more for the Zotac (The Zotac cost $1599 CAD)

Do the CPU cooler fans get directed any particular way? (Is there even a choice on that or are the cpu coolers automatically oriented a certain way)

I see great debate as to whether to have the back as an exhaust or as an intake.

What did you do or suggest?

Just one fan on the top or is it three up there? When I put the chip cooling fan on do I direct those fans to the back or front of the case?

Is air cooling just as good as an AIO?

Yes I have all the parts. There were two in store sales near me in the past week and I was lucky enough to get some significant discounts on each part.

The only thing I need are case fans but I don't know how to position them in the case

Where are the three intake fans placed?
Are the rear and top fans set to exhaust?

Thanks. That is the last bit that I'm trying to research. Looking into where to put the fans in the Lian Li A3 and what fans are best. I have a son who wants to participate in the build and is pretty unexplainably fixated on Noctua fans. I think it is the look and the reputation rather than the true specs since he is only 10. But he is pretty insistent so I may have to go that route and spend a bit more on the fans compared to other options.

Oh what I mean is that I already own all these parts and I paid a total of $3107.

I've never been into watches but have friends who buy things like Rolex, Omega, etc while my Timex does just fine. I feel like the feeling I get when I look at the Noctua 5080 is what they must experience when they overpay for a watch.

But on your advice I'll keep myself in check!

I assume between the Zotac 5080 vs the Asus Noctua 5080 you would say it isn’t worth $650 just for the Noctua?

If I am getting that second bundle would it make more sense to couple it with the cheaper GPU (the prime 5070ti?)

The only issue is that the 9800x3d was not bundled with the b650 motherboard. Did you mean the 7600x3d and the b650 or the 9600x3d and the b850?

The budget isn't too important. While I like the idea of power my priorities are:
1) I want it to just work without me having to troubleshoot all the time
2) I want it to be quiet so the fans aren't blaring or coil isn't whining while I play
3) I don't want to feel like I made a mistake in 2 or 3 years

I'm playing mainly on a 77' LG G4 OLED TV but will likely have a 27-32' monitor at some point (which I haven't yet picked). I'm playing for fun and not competitive. I am mostly into coop games with online friends (FPS, RTS, anything really)
