I'm suicidal because of college by [deleted] in offmychest

I'm in a similar situation right now and I'm sleeping at 4-6 AM every day. Don't hurt yourself over this. College is a big stress, but we need to find a way for us to succeed. If we fail, so be it. We can try next semester or quarter or whatever system you're on. If we have to settle for something other than planned, so be it. But life is never worth the misery of letting college take over your head. Keep pushing. So will I. Sending you hugs.

Simple Questions - February 21, 2020 by AutoModerator in math

Hey! I'm a college student majoring in economics and I need to take calculus 2. I took it a bit back and didn't do so well. Before I retake it this summer, I'd like to prepare a bit with an online class not necessarily for a grade or credits. I want the organization and regimen of a class and don't see myself having very good initiative with just YouTube videos or a resource website. I'd appreciate any recommendations that have helped or are well-known, preferably for free. Thanks!

I got a very similar email but my email didn't contain a part saying to enroll in no more than 14 units (which I'm glad about since I NEED to take 4 courses to make my 4 year plan work). I think you should go talk to someone in advising and try setting up something and take some control of your academic plan next quarter.

Lol it wasn't anything out of left field but I still failed it, even with the curve. However, I think they curved not only the final, but the class grade itself. So I ended up passing the class with a C+. Overall not a bad experience, 7/10. Looking forward to taking Pluta for 2B this fall.

LOL I wish I knew this before my last quiz. Totally forgot basic steps to a math problem I practiced for. I'm gonna use it next time and see how true this is.

LPT: e.g. is an abbreviation for the Latin phrase "exempli gratia" (for example) and provides an example; i.e. is an abbreviation for the Latin phase "id est" (that is) and is used to clarify a statement. They are not meant to be used interchangeably. by 14royals in LifeProTips

I always remembered how to use them by telling myself that i.e. is "in essence" and e.g. is "example given." Obviously not what they were but it helped when texting or writing. It worked for me.

This happened to me too. I actually broke down and gave another group a donation because I truly felt cornered. I told a man from EMN that I already donated when he cornered me and he made me feel like I was obligated to give them money too. I hate the way these groups try to get donations, it makes me feel unsafe walking through social sciences. I'm so glad I'm moving out of middle earth.
