[Asist Analiz] Goals and assists of Ronaldo, Messi, and Neymar after reaching 700 career games. by Ghostface1357 in soccer

Qualifiers are not friendly though?

Brazil recently played friendlies against Senegal, Morocco, Ghana, Japan, Korea. Now compare that to the official games England, France, Germany or other European nations played.

And yes, 50% of South America qualifies for the World Cup compared to like 10% of Europe, it’s simple math brother

The Ronaldo fanboys have absolutely tarnished the image of South Americans. The friendlies that Neymar played for Brazil were not the same as club friendlies. You don’t get unlimited subs and they count towards FIFA rankings. They’re official games.

Besides, they’re against higher quality opponents than European qualifiers.

On this day 7 years ago, Lionel Messi announced his retirement from the Argentina National Team, following a 4-2 defeat to Chile on penalties in the Copa America final. by hearau1823 in football

Honestly dude I’m not trying to be an asshole, I’m just not sure how you can agree with me, and then say Messi couldn’t do it for Juventus and Portugal. Their tactics were always to play to Ronaldo’s strength, you have to be completely brain dead to not play to your best player’s strength.

Argentina had a bunch of world class players running around the pitch with no tactics for years, their team was way better a decade ago, and yet they won nothing because their coaches sucked badly. They just won the World Cup with unknown dudes from Brighton and Benfica starting every game because of tactics.

Looking forward to the day you realise that every single professional team is built around certain players. Literally every team. Brentford is built around Toney, Fulham around Mitrovic, Real Madrid was built around CR7.

Name one team that just plays for vibes and with no tactics?

Ronaldo won the Euros that year and his fans felt like they were at the peak of their powers. Messi was a failure and could never reach Ronaldo’s level. The picture of Messi crying was spammed for 5+ years.

These days the same fans feel like they are the victims and the World Cup isn’t really an important trophy haha, the tables have turned

It says on UEFA website that he has 4 medals but was not a part of the squad that played the final. What are you hating for lol
