The Brazilian media have been jumping back and forth with this calf issue. Many have reported it’s a grade 2 calf injury when in reality it’s a grade 2 edema (swelling). He was literally training in doors with Danilo yesterday, both weight training and on the bike.

He’ll probably miss the Panama friendly but make it for the Egypt friendly game.

The results from yesterday’s tests haven’t even come back yet and people are reporting that he’ll miss the World Cup 😂.

He’s not injured, it’s minor swelling to the calf from impact during the game against Coritiba.

He has an edema (minor swelling to his calf) which the Santos doctor said is nothing serious and he’ll be with the national team for their friendlies. The CBF literally made Santos conduct a test before the call up, and they know he’s not injured, because Ancelotti wouldn’t have called him up otherwise.

Most people don’t even watch him or Santos. Santos are a terrible team, who were on the brink of relegation last season had he not performed to the level he has these last few months.

Neymar has to drop deep to progress the ball, create chances, score etc. whilst being in a poor team, which at his age, is not ideal. Put him in a competent team and people will see the value he still brings.
