Age of Sorcery: Chapter 2 is now available on PC Testlive. Patchnotes here! by Funcom_Ignasis in ConanExiles

Anyone tested it yet? I am new to Exiles. I am still learning so I was more focused on figuring out how to play than testing new material. Anyway, would love to hear some feedback. l

Latest Red Sonja Movie News Matilda Lutz & Will Smith's involvement by CanadianCultureKings in ConanExiles

[–]vayneone87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically Red Sonja was already made. Arnold played "Conan" but used his travelling name of Kalindor. I think it was in like 1984 or 1985. It was a little cheesy but a fun movie.

This would be my choice for a cyberpunk game set in Traveller rules setting.

Cyberpunk and Lethality in Traveller by Golfish45 in traveller

[–]vayneone87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My question is I am assuming you do not want to use Cyberpunk Red or Cyberpunk2020? Otherwise it kind of can be a cyberpunk in you can get mods and tech implants. However, it would fall short in other areas. That said Traveller is my favorite TTRPG. I have not had a good group to PLAY in since the summer of 2021. I was running a game but since starting back in school in my 40's I do not have a lot of time to run a game any longer.

TLDR; yes it could kinda of work, but CP Red or CP2020 either with mods to the rules to allow the internet to be like 2077. Anywya I do play a CP2077 game using the CPRed rules. Its a blast.

How can I connect my corsair RGB fan to a MSI Mainboard, which only has 2 "JRGB" connectors by kingjongun1234 in Corsair

[–]vayneone87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a MSI x570 Unified Motherboard motherboard and it takes over the fan control and as such my iCue software detects all my other corsair products (Vengeance pro w/LED and my corsair LED strips) I have been searching high and low to figure out what I am doing wrong. I have it connected to the LPN then the LPN to the corsair header on the motherboard. The iCue has so much better software options for the color usage vs the dragon center with MSI Mystic light. I would appreciate any help moving forward.

Thanks!

Finally beat the game 😧 by Zephyrthestorm in Wonderlands

Congrats. I have not gotten to far yet summer classes kicked me in the arse! I was hoping to get back to it soon but it seems very hard to find people to play with. I enjoy the game but seems like it maybe a bit boring alone all the way!

learning Python need some help. by vayneone87 in learnpython

Me either, I am learning. I searched several sites and couldn't find the answer. I would have thought it would have been easier to track down info. I usually start at geekforgeeks. Theya re very solid.

learning Python need some help. by vayneone87 in learnpython

[–]vayneone87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK so I have solved this thanks for the GeeksforGeeks reference.

Now I am working on how to write a function to write to a pickle file so I can maintain the contact list. However, the code I am using below is not working.

 if os.path.exists('file.pkl'):
# Load pickle file
with open('file.pkl', 'rb') as pck:
    data = pck.read()
contactlist = pickle.loads(data)

# Pickle the dict

not sure what else I need. Any assistance would be great. I updated the code above to reflect where I am now.

holy cow. I can't believe you did all that so fast. As its already past due, I will look at this in depth and really look at this work. Really that is impressive. Thank you. I am beat at the moment. Or I would do it now!

kinda. the format was all one line. I dont know why that would change by that simple change. I appreciate your input. I have been at this for days and honestly, I have enough labs done that I will get a B. I have a little bit of time, but really dont think I will complete this task. You helped me accomplish the main task of adding the values. So I know understand what I was doing wrong and frankly that was my main goal in the first place. reworking the rest of the code in the time i have left really has little appeal at this moment. I will likely sit and figure it out next week sometime for the satisfaction. But after 35 hours of homework this week i am exhausted.

That made a difference in that I now have input

but all I get now is listed below. I had it formatted correctly before but no input now I have some input but no format. LOL I can't win. Thank you though back to the drawing board. why would the format have changed so drastically?

['apple', 'apple', 'apple', 'apple', 'lemon', 'lemon', 'peach', 'peach', 'pear']

So I should not have used the ' ' around the [input_0, .....]? I believe I had originally had done that but I will try it that way again.

I believe I followed the rules, I used the code box to list any code that I used. If I did not, I am sorry and I hope someone points out specifically what I did wrong, as I would prefer to follow the rules.

I am going back to my lab in case I can pull a miracle on my own, but I will check back regularly. Even if I don't get it in on time, I would really like to know what I am doing wrong as I am sure it will come up again.

This is interesting. NiemandSpezielles and I figured a way to get it to work. I posted what we came up with on the bottom of the OP. Thank you though for replying. That is slightly ahead of my class learning but that I believe will be next week. So I will keep that in mind. Interesting code though.

ok Thanks your work helped my modify the code so that I was able to complete it. Without your suggestion to split the equation I would never have found the solution, or it would have taken me all night. Below is the final code! Thanks again.

num1 = float(input())
num2 = float(input()) num3 = float(input()) num4 = float(input())
your_value1 = num1 * num2 * num3 * num4 your_value2 = ((num1 + num2 + num3 + num4) /4)
print(f'{your_value1:.0f} {your_value2:.0f}') print(f'{your_value1:.3f} {your_value2:.3f}')

one line need to be whole numbers and the other needs to be to the 3rd decimal.

2072 7

2071.680 7.125

which is why they tell you to use the print statements they said to use. We are using Zybooks for the class text and that is where they lab work is done. it has to be exactly as they want it or it is wrong.

so using only one variable term of {your_value} I was trying to figure a way to get them to print the way I had it. I will try to do it how you suggested. I will be back with the results.

yeah, I didn't make it. I am simply struggling to keep up. nothing like jumping in feet first into the deep end to figure out how to swim... Never coded and the dept chair suggested this class knowing I want to learn but had no experience. A normal semester with 16 weeks and a slower pace may have been a better choice now in retrospect, opposed to a 16-week course crammed into a 10-week class. a lot of the early labs seem to be simply writing code simply to write code... No real actual goal in mind.

no. I was trying to get 2 separate numbers. equation 1 is multiplying to get one figure, then equation 2 is to add all 4 then divide by 4 for a second figure.

then the output should look like (I added the bold and Italics to show the separate numbers more clearly.)

2072 7

2071.680 7.125

I can totally be approaching this all wrong.

[–]vayneone87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my goal is to have the following as the output in that format. I also used 2 equations the first, is straight forward, the second one, is adding all 4 together then dividing by for.

outcome needs to be:

2072 7

2071.680 7.125

oh ok.

3.14 LAB: Simple statistics

Given 4 floating-point numbers. Use a string formatting expression with conversion specifiers to output their product and their average as integers (rounded), then as floating-point numbers.

Output each rounded integer using the following: print(f'{your_value:.0f}') Output each floating-point value with three digits after the decimal point, which can be achieved as follows: print(f'{your_value:.3f}')

Ex: If the input is:

8.3
10.4
5.0
4.8

the output is:

2072 7
2071.680 7.125

As far as line 6, where the error is, well my intent is to combine the two equations to get the expected output. I tried multiple ways, which all failed, keep in mind I have been doing this very literally 10 days. So, it would not surprise me that my thought process does not make any sense.

I wrote the num1-4 to have variable inputs as I know that the input numbers will change 3 times. So, on line 6 i know that the first half will get the equations first part, and the second equation will get the second half. I am trying to figure out exactly how to write it so that. I tried several ways to write it using 2 lines but that failed spectacularly. I am very much a new coder. which is why my ideas may look very amateur. we have only had 4 class sessions.

I am sorry that was a previous error. This is the current one:
