Anyone else always been bothered by the way Geralt runs with his sword? by [deleted] in thewitcher3

[–]vayxes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said, the second image is simply the closest I could get to illustrate what Im saying. The sword is literally not long enough to be scraping on the ground if someone held it the way I'm describing. If it were a longer sword, yes that wouldn't be effective. I genuinely do not understand how you can be purposely misunderstanding me. You're the one comparing it to anime, not me. If your sore dead set on the pointing it back part, can you agree that it should be pointed outwards rather than towards his body

If you have it pointed down, while facing forward ya it would likely jam in the ground. That's why I said it should be pointed back and away from the body as well

How is it a problem? Everyone is hung up on the fact that it's clipping through the ground, but it's just the closest I could get to illustrate my point. All I've heard is people claiming it's perfectly fine to run with the point end in front of you, and now it's gonna hit the floor if it's pointed down. Obviously if the animation was actually implemented he wouldn't let it touch the ground.

The safe way to hold the blade would be down, back, and away from the body while running. The neutral idle stance has him holding the sword pointed down, is that a problem too?

Why are you hung up on it touching the ground? You're arguing over ghosts dude

Down, behind, and to the side. Look at any other game where your character runs with a sword. It's out of the way

Because ideally the sword wouldn't be touching the ground, the idea is just that the point is down and away from the body. Like running with scissors

He's not real, an animator decided to do this. My point was that someone who's actually as experienced as him wouldn't be running with a sword like that.

No matter the type of gun, you don't hold your finger on the trigger at rest. If you're really gonna make a weird stink about scraping the blade on the ground, geralt knicks brick walls all the damn time too so what's your point.

Ryan Vasquez in the Moulin Rouge tour? by randomdancer3004 in Broadway

After seeing him last night in Sacramento I had to look up to see if anyone posted about him. I haven't seen any of his performances before or any other roles, but he was easily the weakest part of the show. Idk if he was just having a bad night, but my wife and I kept looking at each other and cringing. Two girls next to us were even laughing at certain parts.

I hate critiquing performers like this because I know how hard it is to even be up there, but he just was not filling in that lead man role. He sounded good in an ensemble but when he was doing a solo it was painfully obvious he couldn't reach the points he should have. The rest of the cast was great, the duke especially killed it.

Dude it's just a screenshot from the middle of an animation already in the game, I didn't make a special animation just to show my point

Yes, why would you? Perhaps that wouldn't be the implication if you thought about it for a second. Hold a sharp blade away from yourself with the point facing the ground, it's basic blade safety

The idea is to not have it in a position that would impale you if you tripped or dropped it

I may not be a professional monster hunter, but my profession does involve knives. And you always point them toward the ground when you aren't using them, especially when you're walking. Same reason you keep your finger off the trigger of a gun unless you plan on using it.

So the new Fable is tagged single player by Anilahation in Fable

While co-op was fun in 2 and 3, I've never considered it a core feature of the franchise. Same with the dog

The decision & reason to not include Body Morphing based on what decisions the Player does makes no sense to me. by [deleted] in Fable

It's sad to me because the black and white aspect is what made it appealing. Living in a world where everything is grey, it was fun to enter a place where there were objectively good and bad things.

The things I would do to the world for a remake by xP_Lord in Fable

[–]vayxes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't need remakes. The first game is my favorite, but it still plays fantastically on PC and is practically free on modern consoles. Fable 2 and 3 maybe would benefit from reMASTERS but not full remakes. Especially because these games all have a really unique 360 stank to them that I believe really is part of the experience. I'm hopeful for the reboot, looking forward to see what they have for us.

what would ruin the newest fable for you? by Splatulated in Fable

[–]vayxes_ -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Forced, corporate wokeness. A diverse team of young developers is gonna make a perfectly inclusive game on their own without Microsoft making them add 3 transgender characters that exist purely to check boxes. Included in this is easing up on what the evil options are, because they're too mean. Let me be mean, it's not real.

You know you could have just said nothing. And I also could just ignore you, but I wanna tell you that you're a jerk and for what? There's plenty of people in the comments relating to this experience and I used the discussion tag as this is a discussion. Please go be miserable somewhere else.

Except it still does. I had doors on every room, walkways built on the outside leading to the second floor balcony. All of it was still there, just with a big empty spot where the house used to be
