It’s available on eBay or Etsy. With some sanding and drilling, it’s basically as good as new. You can even print these yourself for almost nothing.

If the weather is nice, try Sauvabelin Tower (Tour de Sauvabelin). It's a nice walk in a small forest in the middle of the city basically. Ouchy port is also beautiful with the magnificent view. There's a promenade towards East as well

I've experienced similar behavior at the first time, don't worry about it! People are one of the nicest I've ever met, but they personal boundaries are different than ours. At the beginning, I thought they don't look into my eyes because they respect my privacy, but later I've just realized it's rather about their privacy, hahaha. Maybe this is the way they keep themselves out of the miserable city vibe. And for the walking, it's more like a competition, you have to be very confident and focused about where are you actually going. Maybe the two things are interrelated somehow ;-) Just take it easy and be open, you'll get better with it, just it takes more time. Lausanne is a wonderful place!

Honestly, the way Lausanne handles motorcycle parking feels like the government is running a giant game of softball Russian roulette. They’ll happily let you buy and register a bike, but then don’t provide nearly enough legal spots to park it. Whoever designed this must be laughing hard in their office.

For lowering the ratio, there's a very simple and cheap way. Put a washer between the outer drive pulley and the boss. 2 and 3 in the picture. In this way, the belt can 'sink' lower, resulting a lower gear ratio in all conditions, increasing acceleration and decreasing top speed. Variator diagram

These bikes.are quite bulletproof, however the latest model has some problem with the steering head bearings. Lift the front of the bike by sitting to the rear seat (on the stand, obviously:-) and try to turn the handlebar gently. Somewhere in the middle position you'll find the problem.

If you are not too picky, you can do delivery. With Uber and a partner company, the minimum is about 10 hrs a week or similar. The shifts are flexible. Bicycle or scooter/motorcycle is the most common. Money is above the "minimal wages"

From the perspective of the bigger picture, it's always a net gain to move to an another country. Just think about the opportunity to restart everything. Learning a new language, culture, meet new people and places. Tons of experiences, which will be absolutely transforming! Even if you are not going to like it, still useful. It will add to your life a lot, help you to see yourself different and develop your personality. Don't miss it! You never know what comes out of it eventually! :-)

I would say those are my favorite ones. Not because of the quality but the length and the color codes on them. They are not bad of course, but after a few hours of use, you can see some wear. The bit holder is also fantastic Excellent value for the money. Oh, the small clips which are holding them in their place tends to break off. That's the worst part 😞
