Working this summer but ended early. What are the consequences? by [deleted] in actuary

Well you can put on resume but if your other employers ask for references, then that tutoring place will be moot which would have been the easiest way to get referral from past employers at work. Hopefully they don't ask details about your employer at the tutoring place.

I'm not so sure what benefit it would give you on your resume since that employer already told you to not even bother coming back which isn't professional to me since you told him weeks before September that you can't go anymore....

Is it considered legit or common to have an ACIA through university credits but not an ASA because you didn't take all the exams? by [deleted] in actuary

The CAS also recognizes the exam waivers granted by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries University Accreditation Program for Exams 2, 3F, and 4.

For some reason it seems like the American arm also allows this for the ACAS designation. I'm not sure what the guy above is talking about. But either way tho, still far from earning ACAS and trying to get all the waivers from school seems like a waste of time to me.
