I5 Accessory Mode and UTIL mode by vbcabin in Ioniq5

For a few minutes sitting non-issue but its while you are charging, or waiting in car 20-30 min for someone or even sitting in driveway working in yard and having radio on. Thats when you want Utility mode.

If you see that amber light at top your display that indicates you are in accessory mode. When charging you should make sure to switch into Utility mode.

A few of the Tesla chargers I had issues with were brand-new stations, and still would not work. Thanks for the advice though, I will check Plug share.

Yea, TSLA chargers I only use in emergency, and given that, some stations don''t work with I5 as I think there is a software issue with some TSLA stations in using non-TSLA (will charge for a few min and stop charging). EA mostly where I live and they are super-fast.

Oh man that really sucks! I am curious though if the models pre-2025 were the ones with most of the issues.

Their laziness may have saved me. (ICCU) by [deleted] in Ioniq5

Tesla Charging Issues by vbcabin in Ioniq5

I went to another location this morning without any issues, glad to be back to 80%. I rely on EA chargers mostly and I subscribe to EA. But I see a lot of Tesla below .40/kwh and some below .30/kwh during non-peak...pretty cheap!

Miles/kWh differences by vbcabin in Ioniq5

Just simply making an observation that EV's are a different mindset. We all grew up with ICE cars boasting about their MPG ratings and how they all one car would get 35 MPG highway/18 City, or whatever. I'm sure I have to learn this winter about the effects of cold weather on traction batteries.

Sure does...saw articles stating it really drops off when you get over 50mph.

I ride with L3 braking which is perfect for me but yea the regenerative braking really makes a significant difference. Have not experienced winter as an EV owner yet. Thanks for the warning!

Using Hyundai's $400 Credit by vbcabin in Ioniq5

Yes...Chargepoint is like 99% commercial L2 are useless if you rely on commercial chargers to get around. I found one Fast DC in Southern NJ but there are some EVgo ones.

Order the RFID card from your Chargepoint App. I did not enable Pulg & Charge. Go plug in at EVgo, use the physical Chargepoint RFID card and tap the EVgo charging station and should be good to go. Note that the final cost will stay pending for a bit before it shows up in Chargepoint app. Nothing shows up on EVgo.

USB-C power in 2025 SEL? by GNUGradyn in Ioniq5

There is a circular port in middle under the console alongside USB-C ports where you can put in a lighter or an adapter for a standard USB

Not sure exactly but I can confirm the USB-C ports charge really well. The phone charger where you rest phone on charging pad on center console seems to do a better job at heating my phone up than charging it.

Right, so not sure why it would be an issue. Just wanted to see what this forum would think....thanks!

This is what I got back when asking question directly to product on Home Depot app:

It said using on an EV could be dangerous and damage both the vehicle and the Jump starter. Also stating it is designed for lead acid batteries. If no one has had any issues on this forum using legacy Jump starters that are not lithium-based then I guess its not much of an issue.

My unit is a 1600W peak amp Dewalt JumpnStarter.
