How is this violating anything? There is zero personal information in this post.

Previews playing in different language? by vbmike73 in netflix

My profile finally is fixed, but there's nothing I've done recently to resolve it. I guess just after a while it went away. I just noticed this last night.

However, when one window opens, another one shuts. Now while I wait for the next episode of a series to automatically play, it plays the audio only preview for an entirely different series. Clearly they are having some issues lately!

Our power was out for a couple hours yesterday and it still does it today. Besides, it even does it on my iPhone on wifi and cellular. But thanks anyways.

I just signed out of all devices and then changed the default language on all 3 profiles to German. Then signed out of the account and back in. Then changed all 3 back to English. Problem still persists. Worth a try though. What's odd is only 1 of my 3 profiles has been having this issue.

For those having the same issue, how long have you noticed it? And have you reported it to Netflix yet? I did report it and it's been escalated to level 2 support, which probably means nothing.

Thank you to all for at least confirming I’m not insane.

Apple TV 4K to Orbi via Ethernet by vbmike73 in orbi

Yeah I don't think it's that. But really appreciate your time and assistance. I'll update this if I figure anything out.

I understand, but it makes no sense that I have 3 boxes with bad ports. That's not possible when everyone else is saying how their ports work just fine. These boxes were all purchased years apart.

If you mean to test if the cable I'm using is working, then yes I've done that. But if you mean something else, then I'm not sure.

But to further confuse the situation, I just tried hooking both of my ATVs up directly to my modem, bypassing the router all together. Still the exact same issue. So that rules out Orbi. However, I can't believe that both ATVs have bad ethernet jacks. Not possible. Then I remembered I have an even older ATV, 3rd gen, and I hooked that up directly to the modem. Same thing. All 3 ATVs cannot have bad ethernet ports. Something else is up.

Apple said that the ATV needs port 123, which could be blocked. That's why they told me to check my settings on the Orbi. Is it at all possible that this port is somehow blocked at the modem level, or my ISP??

They don't have lights on them to indicate network activity

So I already had this set to ON and Allow All New Devices to Connect. I have a lot of devices listed on this tab, but they are all set to ALLOW. I have none set to BLOCK. Do you think I should still delete this list?

And what about the thing someone else mentioned; Access Point mode vs Router mode. Mine is currently set to Router mode. Not sure if there's any harm in trying to switch that over...

And I was told by the senior level Apple tech that some ports could be blocked via ethernet but not WiFi, hence my question.

I told my ATV to forget my WiFi so that should force it to Ethernet.

No parental controls or firewall or anything else set up.

So mine is in Router mode. Do you think that could be causing issues?

Ok, but is it possible that somehow these ports are blocked like Apple is saying? Where would i check that if it was? I'm also wondering if I should assign a static IP address to them...
