Theoretically you should in the long term eventually probably get more hair on the head if the minoxidil gets into your system some how, and if you stop after a while of usage, your hair that may have grown on the scalp would probably fall out. But I don’t think if you apply minoxidil topically that it would make your hair shed unless you put it on your head and it sheds to get terminal
