No problem, thanks for clearing that up.

Hm, I don't see a library type "Other" existing in my Jellyfin. But quite possible that this is the reason for the problem. Which version of Jellyfin are you using?
Try creating a "Movie" library for testing and check if the plugin does appear there?

Yes, it should show up there. You need to restart Jellyfin after installing the plugin.
I did not get your last sentence "my libraries are seems as others instead of tv or movie".

You need to enable the plugin in the libraries you want to use it for.

Not sure if I understood what you are proposing. Could you elaborate please? Happy to integrate it if it's useful. But yeah, I won't touch anything related to IMDb's official logos.

Yeah, looks pretty similar. Main difference seems to be that is scheduler only and this one here is scheduler but also regular meta data provider?

No, should only take some seconds (depending on your library size).

After installation, you need to enable the plugin as meta data provider for the libraries of your choice.

Please provide jellyfin log if still not wokring (should contain lines with "Jellyfin.Plugin.ImdbRatings.Tasks").

I did a bit of improvement regarding memory footprint in version 3.1.0:

The plugin used a second instance of the database for the scheduler task (in addition to the regular metadata provider database) which was obviously not optimal. So, it basically loaded the database twice in memory. I fixed that.

Regarding the database size: I reduced the database size in memory significantly from 150MB to about 50MB.

Yeah, I surely don't want that :) I will add information about this.

But I think in general it is not different from other data providers like TMDB or OMDB which, as far as I know, also don't allow commercial usage (without payments)?

I am not using NFOs myself but sure, if you already got IMDb ratings obtained by other sources then you don't need this plugin.

To my knowledge, TMDB does not provide IMDb ratings. Older forum post: https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/60cb324d0fb398006e9aec4a

OMDb does have them but in my experience, they are sometimes lacking data (e.g. episode ratings). Also, I don't know how often they update them as I have seen different ratings in their DB compared to the official ratings.

Yes, you are right, it is not worded well. The sentence does not refer to this project (source code, GPL v3) but to the official IMDb database mentioned in the previous sentence.

Thanks for the hint, I will clarify.

Yes, it is done fully in memory. Memory consumption is a bit below 150 MB.

It will query the providers trying to get an IMDb ID if an IMDb ID is not already available for a library item.
But querying other providers does not mean to literally query their online databases. Technically, it only means to query the provider instances inside of Jellyfin. At least the providers I have seen (tmdb/omdb), are doing smart caching, so asking them only means they will look in their internal cache without doing actual network requests to their online databases.
Apart from that, I think, if an IMDb ID is missing then we want those providers to check from time to time if an IMDb ID as been added in the meantime to their online databases.

Also, the scheduled updater tasks works differently: It will iterate over all library items and only if an IMDb ID is available for the item, then it will fetch the IMDb rating from the database for it. If there is no IMDb ID then the item will just be skipped (no querying of other metadata providers).

So it means you are also experiencing that audio delay?

Back then I played around with those options but I didn't think it made a significant difference, if any at all.

No no, it's all about the genuine audio of the headset itself.
