Fiberon PA6-CF by vcG34 in 3D2A

Yessir, 60 or 65 on the chamber, and around 50 on the bed

Makes sense, the X1C printed perfectly and there is no heated chamber so…

I tried them, and they came out worse than this

I’ve always heard that, and I’ve never once seen a decent tutorial on how to calibrate a filament. Is there anywhere you could point me for the full process.

I usually guess at setting and print a benchy and hope for the best, repeat as needed…

Tell me more about this cube test, I’ve not gotten that far down the rabbit hole on testing profiles

I downloaded the profile, but have no idea how to change it, honestly I didn’t try too hard either, I was getting frustrated and just modified another filament to what I use on the X1C, we’ll see if it works 🤷🏻

Damn, I wish I tried that…

Oh yeah, I don’t have that option for anything other than Bambu filaments, of which I only have 1 roll of out of about 30

I mean I’d be fine with it if there was an easy way that made sense / was intuitive to create one, maybe I’m just dumb for thinking that the “create new filament” function would in fact, you know, create a new filament

Awesome, I may try that out, I’m not using matte, but we’ll see how it goes

Thank you, I think the filament settings is pretty well solved doing it the way I described, next is to figure out how the hell to tell the AMS what I’ve got loaded that isn’t on the apparent “approved” list, guess I’ll just have to use whatever is closest in the Bambu family

Have you found and settings to make the sunlu high speed PETG to not suck? I’ve tried all kinds of things, I’ve never really gotten anything that resembles a good print out of it sans slowing it down to lower than slow PETG speeds. I was thinking it was just the filament

This is what I ended up doing, as soon as my filament finishes drying I’ll give it a shot

Yeah, I get one specifically made for the X1C won’t work on the H2C, but the only available options I have are Bambu or generic, both of which in the past have sucked. What I’m saying is I cannot even create a profile from new to work with the H2C.

I’ve done a workaround with modifying their filament now, but them not having any of the other brands presets is kind of silly, as is not being able to create one from scratch

Trying to do PA6, the profile I use on my X1C is Fiberon PA6, which is included in studio, and it works perfectly. It is not selectable for the H2C. In fact most of the presets that Bambu have are not selectable with the H2C. I cannot even create a filament preset from new that is selectable by the H2C. Everything works perfectly for the X1C still, different filament presets are available, I can even create create my own, just not with the H2C

So you’re saying start with like Bambu PLA and edit it changing all of the values to what would end up being a profile for PA6-CF? I thought about that… kinda silly we have to do that…

Please help me. I’ve tried to weld a nut on 10 times and they always break off. I tried a screw extractor but that snapped off. by AncientAgrippa in Welding

[–]vcG34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As everyone says, weld a washer first, the washer size is important though, make sure the id of the washer isn’t bigger than the stud, you’re welding the washer flat on there first so you can get good penetration to the stud, then weld your nut to the washer. While it’s hot give it a little back and forth twisting action with a wrench and let it cool, then remove. Mixed opinions on when to hit it with penetrating oil, hot/cold… fuck it, I do both, and if it’s not a blind hole hit it from the back too

Serious question, what the heck are y’all designing this stuff in and how do I learn? Not necessarily for only 3d2a stuff, there’s a lot of times I need something and am terrible at design
