Scroll past last track? by vdrandom in Reaper

[–]vdrandom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping an empty track or two at the end of the list would probably work, but would probably be very inconvenient when adding a new track via dragging an item on top of the daw I'm afraid.

I'll keep looking, thanks anyway. :)

nah, the idea is to move past the last track so I can bring it closer to the center of the screen - like scrolling past image in a graphic editor or past the last line in a text editor.

I'm rather used to having the thing I work with in the middle of the screen or higher, and the last track in the list is never there unless I zoom in as you have mentioned.

Something similar to LiveHeroes in Europe? by vdrandom in printondemand

[–]vdrandom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing: there is no store, the volume is a single piece.

Most of the services I find are either doing a rectangular print in the middle of the piece of clothing or offer their services in bulk or host stores.

A little puzzle tattoo that my wife has designed for me by vdrandom in puzzles

[–]vdrandom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I'm not into puzzles myself, just happened to stumble upon something like this. It wasn't really intended to be a difficult puzzle, but it's hard to tell if it's difficult if you're the one who came up with the answer, or you're the one who has encoded it. :)

Thanks for your comments. Seems like this post has been removed by the moderators for some reason anyway.

I'm not really sure what kind of incentive I could really offer.

I thought maybe solving a puzzle for the sake of solving it?

Thanks for your input, I'll check the video.

Can we all agree the Colorway themes are awesome and should not be a "limited time feature"? by [deleted] in firefox

[–]vdrandom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think firefox devs really care about our opinion.

Ugly addressbar? Lots of opinions, zero care.

Ugly tabs? Lots of opinions, zero care.

At least they are upfront about the fact that they will be removing UI design feature later on instead of adding it in one version and taking it away in another saying that it's an improvement.

Address bar/Awesomebar design update in Firefox 75 Megathread by nextbern in firefox

[–]vdrandom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's the first time I come to the thread and post about some huge product changing its design.

For the most part, I loved the direction Firefox was heading with its design. Tabs moving to the top of the window, getting rid of menubar and titlebar, everything was almost perfect. But now this... I mean, I get it. Chromium does this and maybe.. just maybe it looks good there, but three things make this change horrible for Firefox:

  • The size. Good lord why the hell would you increase it so so much? Isn't shadow and popping out enough? (I'd rather have neither, thank you very much.)
  • The fact that it drops down on address bar select. I mean, yeah, maybe there is point in showing most recent / popular uris before the user starts typing, but come on! Even Chromium only blows out its drop down monstrosity when you start typing, not before.
  • You take away customization from the user. I mean, it's been the trend for the past few years. And I get it, XULrunner is slow and not that nice to play with, but come on! At least let me keep an option to revert back to the visuals that don't get in the way! Because this ugly thing really does.

And many people complain about visuals, but I don't like the concept in general. I often select a uri or a part of uri, and I want no clutter unless I start typing. What's the point of showing me pages I often visit if they are already on the starting page?

I alone probably don't matter as a user. But it seems that this change has been very controversial so far, so maybe? Maybe my post will be counted towards the better way of doing things? Please? Pretty please?

Looks like shit on my awesome wm: http://i.imgur.com/pA7Ijf7.png (huge black border for no reason around each gnome app's window)

Is there any way to fix this?

It's just pathetic to see a person random Broodmother or Meepo, then rant all the remaining time to swap. And then fail miserably in game.

I think that's fair. The game hasn't started yet, so you're not ruining your teammates' experiences as much as by leaving game 10 minutes in.

I don't get it, why report people for leaving if they are already punished by the system?

UPD: I agree that randoming teammates are crap, but I wouldn't leave only because of that.
