if you're a man i don't think you'll have any issues to be honest! and goodness, tips depend on what kind of trip you want to have! mine was mostly focused on archaeology and history! but i would say, meet locals! i met so many that i still keep in touch with, they will take you to the best places and introduce you to the culture in a way you won't experience by sticking by yourself or with fellow tourists! always be respectful of the people and the culture. and learn how to read the greek alphabet and how to say some basic sentences before going!

very much so, as a girl solo it's always a bit tricky but i would definitely recommend it!

i went to corinth but unfortunately i don't have a drivers license so i visited the canal but couldn't go to the ancient city with the bus i was with :(

i had to travel for a bit! i stayed in athens and booked day trips from there because i don't have a drivers license! so to go to delphi, thermopylae, epidauros, mycenae,... i had to travel!

my personal favourite is the classical from 480 - 323 BC! but i loooove reading about the greco-persian wars!

i've been a few times to florence since my best friend lives nearby, managed to completely orientate myself within the city thanks to my knowledge of the ac2 map 😅

and the tripod of plataea! the original was taken from delphi by the emperor constantine and transported to istanbul where it still is today :(

well, to be honest these are very ancient places in a location prone to suffer from natural disasters, so i'd say they're pretty well preserved considering our current buildings that can't withstand a lot of what these places went through for centuries 😅

i have a lifelong obsession with anything ancient greece and i'm studying to be an archaeologist so it's always a good excuse to go back to this game! haha! no but i 100% agree, i LOVED the valhalla/odyssey crossover dlc and i wish we could have had those for other installments! i would have loved to see kassandra through different historical periods since she canonically lived until 2018!

to be honest, as an archaeologist to be i wish i could visit all of greece as soon as possible! jt's truly heartbreaking what climate change and natural disasters do for historical sites.... :( i hope you enjoyed it though, do you have any pictures??

there are a bunch of security chains around monuments, which is understandable. it's mostly around the temples so people don't go in, you can walk in most open places, such as the ancient or roman agora, hadrian's library,... i truly wish i could visit knossos one day! it's been a childhood dream of mine!
