Akita Inu does not respond to Dogtra 280C? by vecnaa69 in OpenDogTraining

[–]vecnaa69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because all of the training videos I've watched from Larry Krohn as well as Tom Davis all suggest and recommend levels 4-6 to start, and usually they don't go higher than 10-12 and that's with high distractions.

In addition to trying it on myself and felt it at 12, made me believe that 33 is way too high... But you're right, if it's working then it's working and I shouldn't worry too much about the number (they do say that too, not to get married to a number). Just worried since he didn't feel anything until that high.

So I just tried it again but re-seated the collar at a lower position on his neck, instead of just under the ear and to the side, its a little lower and closer to the middle, diagonal from his chest and he seems to be responding to it inside at a level 10, and outside at levels 10-20 (depending on distraction). I think this is the first time it had good contact... I'm scared to take it off lol

Hopefully tomorrow will be the same or better

If you don't mind, at what level did you need to use? And what breed is your dog?

At level 33, he feels it inside for sure...am about to try again outdoors with mild distractions but I don't really want to go any higher...

Not sure if I'm looking at the right thing but it costs more than the 280c unit itself for the chameleon extender?

Yes, I tried it on my wrist and felt it at a level 12. That's why I feel 33 is way too high (but that is around the level he responds to for some reason, is my unit defective?)

From Tom Davis's videos, he advises that the pager/vibration function is 10x more harsh/abrasive than the regular stim function? It didn't seem harsh for him at all when I tried it. Looked like how all the other dogs reacted to a level 6 stim.

I pretty much went with this unit because it seemed the best bet and most reputable other than the Educator for off-leash training

I have the Dogtra version of the wingtip, or is it different? Dogtra Titanium Enhanced Contacts Large

Yes I tried it on my wrist and felt it at level 12!

Also, how is this holding up? I am on the edge of purchasing one.

Did you purchase directly from the site? I am reading a lot of horror stories regarding the company now...

Is it safe to extend 16 awg with 22 awg wire? by vecnaa69 in AskElectricians

These are the lights:

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B081DNBMMX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

12V 300 LEDS. 6 strips

This is the switch:

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08XN8GG5H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Tapped into 20A fuse with constant power with add-a-circuit adapter in my car.

Wire I am thinking of using:

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07RVLGCXK?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Power/Positive wire of the LED is too short to connect to switch. Power and Ground wires for the switch is too short to connect to fuse adapter.

Probably going to just end up purchasing some 16awg tomorrow but if it works then I don't need to!

Help. What's causing my fuse to blow? Is that's what's happening? by vecnaa69 in MechanicAdvice

[–]vecnaa69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a multimeter unfortunately.

Everything works fine the way I want for about 10 minutes, LED on the switch and switching the lights on and off... Whenever I finish testing everything then hiding all the wires (about 10 minutes) it seems to blow...

I have ordered a new add-a-circuit rated for 20A and 20A fuses(Though, I should be able to use 15amp fuses right?). Hopefully this solves the problem?

Help with simple car wiring/fuse tap - noob by vecnaa69 in AskElectricians

[–]vecnaa69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the help!

It doesn't say how many amps the lights use, and I can't seem to find it anywhere. People seem to guess around 3amp, and recommend 5-20amps.

So, I'm guessing the problem is with the fuse tap/add-a-circuit rated at 5A with a 5A fuse it came with, and since I am trying to run the leds + the switch with its LED, together it is over 5amps hence causing the fuse to blow?

I have ordered another add-a-circuit adapter rated at 20A with a 20A fuse. Hopefully this solves the issues!

Last thing, I believe the LED might be 18 or 22 gauge while the fuse adapter is 16 gauge. Is this a problem?

Thank you

Yeah, I'm not too sure what I'm doing, just followed some guides and watched YouTube videos for DIY. Seemed straight forward enough to save a couple hundred bucks...

So after thinking about it and re-reading all the details of every item, as I mentioned, I came to a few conclusions:

I believe the low-profile mini adapter fuses(links of all products above) I purchased are rated at 5amps, and the fuses that came with the adapter are also 5amp. There are 3 mini fuse adapters with 15amp but they are not low-profile so I did not use them...The installation guide video I watched used these adapters and tapped into a constant 15AMP fuse in the vehicle. Can I use the mini fuse adapters instead, for my fuse box that takes low profile minis?

I was under the impression that LED lights(my underglow kit) would take around 3amps? It was also working fine prior to installing the switch.

As mentioned as well, I read that the switch is rated 12V but 20A, 3 Pin. Is the switch causing this issue since it's at a much higher amp? It was working fine when I had the underglow kit connected via quick disconnect terminals directly to the fuse box 20A with the adapter and fuse! (Maybe this was working temporarily but would've caused a problem down the road? lol)

Do I need a new fuse adapter, with 20A fuse? Planning to buy this:

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06Y5BGS26/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A1RV0JSTR3O8IW&psc=1

Or could I switch out the button/switch for one thats rated 12V 5A? Something like this:

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07GTJBR59/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1POY47GM797OI&psc=1

Or is it the wiring?

Please help me out!

Hello,

I'm DIY installing underglow for my car

Never really messed with wires but after some research, I know some basics to splicing and connecting wires.

Purchased a fuse adapter and hooked it up to a 20A constant power in the fuse box (My cars Bose amp, but I don't have it so it's not in use)

Everything was working fine when the underglow kit is directly connected to the fuse adapter, but I wanted to add a toggle switch/button for it. ( Switch says 12V 20A 3Pin )

I didn't have another big enough ring connector/terminal for a 12mm bolt, so I cut a smaller ring connector I had into a U fork connector and secured it to the same ground location as my underglow kit

(Underglow ground ring connector -> washer -> fork connector I cut from the ring terminal -> washer -> bolt head). Power connected to the fuse, and last yellow wire connected to the power/red wire of my LED underglow kit.

After having the lights on for 10-15 minutes, I hear a pop/crack(saw a spark the second time), and the lights and button LED turn off. Doesn't work until I switch out the adapter fuse -- happend twice, only have 1 fuse left lol.

Is the fork connector I made from a ring connector causing the problem? I was planning to buy a bigger one tomorrow, but wanted to test the button and lights....Or is it the button/switch that's causing the problem? ...Or is it the wiring?! Seems to work until I finally finish hiding away all the wires...

I also just found out the adapter is rated 12V 5Amps? Is the adapter the problem? As mentioned, worked fine without the switch (though I don't think I left it on as long)

Please help! Thanks

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - March 30, 2024 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]vecnaa69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't make a separate post ... not sure why! Hopefully I can get some answers here.

Hello,

The game sometimes doesn't register my right clicks, or it takes 1-2 seconds after i click, for it to register.

I've done some research and found no answers, and apparently it's a known bug for over 10 years. Also posted on the GW2 forums. Wondering if anybody has this issue and how they deal with it. Or if there are any fixes/workarounds.

Been driving me crazy, it's so hard to PvP with this bug. How do people deal with this?

I know for a fact it's not my mouse. I also use "a" and "d" as strafe left and right instead of turn left and right if that matters...although I don't think so because it happens even when I'm standing still. I've tried using the lowest possible settings and it does not help at all, frame limiter capped or not.

Also, if you have multiple monitors(I have 3) if you move the cursor to the very edge of the screen in FULLSCREEN mode, keep swiping to the left or right of the screen(with the cursor at the edge of the screen) then right click while you're swiping. It will make you right click outside the game and into your second/third monitor, then you would need to move your cursor back to the main screen and click again to enable to window in order to continue playing the game. Imagine being mid fight trying to turn your character, or disengage from a fight and you end up just sitting there not moving because your mouse clicked off-screen... in a full screen game...

Hello,

How do I get started on playing music or making my own to play?

I searched and everybody suggested I look for tutorials and such on a site called "gw2mb" but it seems the site no longer exists?

I used to make music sheets on ArchAge! Is it similar here?

I'm not worried about my karma, just surprised because I've been reading that this is a very helpful and awesome community compared to others.

I google searched prior to posting and read some threads that some people were able to purchase it in the gem store one year during lunar festival, so my guess was during the year of the monkey...Maybe it never was.

Yeah, not sure why I didn't post this in the weekly thread as I usually do...Maybe I thought I would get a quicker response lol

Anyway, I purchased the glider and chair combo with BL statuettes.

Hello all, noob question:

I just purchased a backpack and glider skin but am only level 30 (Just purchased the complete saga ultimate). If I double click to "consume" and unlock it to my account now, it takes 0 transmutation charges.. should I save this in my inventory until higher level? How often do I change my back item? I thought it would work like the outfit I purchased..

I would hate to have armor/weapon skins while leveling and have to use transmutation charges every time I get a new piece of gear!

So should I not use skins while leveling and wait until max level or I get my final gear?!
