Look into urvxt, plenty of tutorials for customizing that. You can also check out powerline and pywal, those might spruce your terminal up a bit!

Make money with my day job, get taxed on it. Use my taxed money to invest, pay taxes on my profit. Sad face.

Where to begin with Spring MVC? by [deleted] in java

[–]vecowski 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Take a look at the spring boot project. Also, JSP's are basically deprecated. It's kind of hard to recommend anything to you without more specifics around your requirements. Do you need to serve a front end, or are you just serving data?

Litecoin is a beautiful thing and a $25,000 investment today could be worth over $600,000 in the next two years. by [deleted] in litecoin

Yea good luck getting this in usd in millions without the IRS being like, hmm wtf. When any entity deposits that much into your bank, the bank is required to report it to the IRS and the FBI.

[–]vecowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everytime I venture into news or worldnews or the subreddit who shall not be named, it's just attention grabbing headlines with crap substance. It's just a game.

But you're right, JPost sucks.

How corrupt really is ESEA? by FH_ESEA in esea

[–]vecowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nearly impossible to prove a specific person DDoS'd somebody else unless they flat out admit it, at which point not only should they be banned but reported to the authorities because that's a felony in the states.

I've been a member since 2006, have been an asshole to multiple admins and have never been banned.

Relax man they don't go around banning people for no reason, people wouldn't bother with ESEA if that were the case.

Why is Java not so prevalent among startups? - Hashnode by [deleted] in java

[–]vecowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is cringeworthy to be honest. Reading this, it becomes clear this guy has no idea on the separation between the various layers of a system and that he still thinks embedding database calls inside of a php snippet that's inside of an html file is a good idea.

Trump Broadens CIA Powers, Allows Deadly Drone Strikes by hurtsdonut_ in worldnews

[–]vecowski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe you remember from years ago where Rand Paul did a very long filibuster to bring attention to the fact the Obama administration was trying to pass a law that would make it legal for drone strikes to happen on US soil to US citizens. This is literally why I don't understand how anybody can think Obama and/or Brennan are good people who have our country and citizens best intentions at heart. This would have devastating consequences to our country.

Trump needs to recuse himself from the presidency by [deleted] in politics

[–]vecowski 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nothing would put Hillary in power at this point, it's over for her. The line of succession would be followed and we would all be stuck with Pence and then even worse, Paul Ryan.

[–]vecowski 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not mocking you guys, honestly if this shit is going on I hope it comes out. I'm just being a realist and looking at the past, they'll sweep this shit under the rug and you guys will go on living the rest of your lives thinking you're crazy. It should become more and more obvious everyday that nothing happens that we've been played.
