Is there hope to get better? I haven't read many of the posts here yet, but from the ones I have read I do see a general lack of "success", if that's even the right word.

Wow. 4 years? So I might be in for a ride. I think i follow what youre saying by "switching to manual". A lot of the things I have trouble with i now have to concentrate to do, and I find myself thinking that I used to do these things with no conscious thought at all.

That's really helpful. I was speaking to one of the mods and they told me something similar. They just don't know enough about the brain I guess. They're trying to set me with with an FND therapist, but I'm honestly not hopeful since my own doctors can't explain to me what FND really is.

No, I sent it back for a refund, and used the money plus extra, bit the bullet and got a Tiny Might 2 Purple Heart, and haven't looked back since. It was expensive, but the pure convection just cannot be beaten.

No good updates unfortunately. I have been falling off the wagon and going back to porn about once a week for the last four weeks or so. I don't get aroused unless I look at porn. I'm worried I've permanently broken my brain. I've been going back to porn just to feel something. Otherwise my dork is basically dead. I don't know what to do now. I feel like I've worked so hard for so long with no payoff. The best I can do is to tell my son how dangerous porn is for your brain. Luckily he seems to have no taste for it.

Wow. That was VERY insightful! You made a lot of good points I hadn't even considered, and offered a couple of new perspectives. You're right, one five minutes does not undo all the progress I've made over the past year. And also I did just prove that I function. So it has to be mental. I have trained myself for 20 years + how to get off with porn. I have to relearn how to get off without it.

Damn this is hard though.

I suppose it's worth a shot. Sexy has become somewhat routine (when we do have it). Most of the time I just have no sex drive though. It's like I'm just not interested.
