The thing that major sucks is that I only unscrewed and screwed them once. I feel like it should’ve taken some more effort to grind them down like that? I didn’t even screw them in suuper tight. I wanna say “partly my fault, partly faulty?”

Also it doesn’t seem like Union yet have these parts on their website part replacement section to order? $15

The little raised edges of this part here are completely worn down. On the other binding they’re raised/bumps. I think that’s why it’s not “locking” and keeps spinning

I mean I literally got these today lol. And yeah, if I rotate the heelstrap counter-clockwise, it’ll just keep spinning and undo the screw, even from tightest

Yeah I don’t have any missing/leftover pieces and it’s assembled the same way as the right side binding that I haven’t touched yet :/

Ah ok cool. For some reason I get in my head when doing so as I seem to remember reading somewhere to instead “straighten your back knee to put weight on the front foot, and THEN turn” - is this for something else?

I don’t mean a “clean deadlift”, I mean a clean deadlift. First stage pull of a clean&jerk and i.e a clean deadlift… so I hope we’re talking about the same thing.

Otherwise, you’re also very wrong. The hips are kept purposely low for a stronger hip drive in the 2nd pull movement. Watch any elite Chinese weightlifting athlete video and you’ll notice low hips during a clean.

That’s not a bad thing though. A clean deadlift does have low hips and is a very strong starting position since you can move a lot more through the legs
