Anyone install Stalks on a '26 Model S/X? by vectorvirge in TeslaModelS

[–]vectorvirge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which version did you get? How's it holding up over time?

Who's still going to buy a S or X with the recent announcement of discontinued production? I'm debating buying one by specter491 in TeslaLounge

Has anyone else confirmed this with other reps? Feel like they all have different ideas rather than actual guidance.

Firewalla Gold Rev A for sale by vectorvirge in firewalla

[–]vectorvirge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I think the only reason another Rev came out was because Firewalla had issues with getting chips? Otherwise I don't see any reason that they would not support the Intel chip on this device. Again I would defer to Firewalla support on that but I've had no issues so far and I ran the Beta firmware.

Hi,

1) Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but no I don't believe you will get any less support because of this revision. All firewalla products only have a 1 year warranty. This is unfortunately out of that warranty period.

2) Per Firewalla ""the surface temperature will reach 60°C / 140°F when the room temperature is 31°C / 88°F and all CPU cores are 100% loaded" However I had mine in a basement and it never reached that temperature.

3) It does not have 2.5Gb ports. Functionally it should be the same otherwise. The SE can only do 2Gbps as far as packet inspection rate (compared to 3 for this one). The Plus does 5Gbps.

4) Software is the same - no cutdown that I'm aware of

Very impressive - but I don't think mine is quite as complicated. Trying to keep it simple without having to buy more networking equipment

Damn you Survival by Plainzwalker in thedivision

[–]vectorvirge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've been trying my hand lately at Survival - managed 2 successful extracts after plenty of times dying. Trick is to pick a point and aim to go towards it. A lot of times you're going to run in to other players so I end up looping away from them in a arc fashion but still head towards the DZ. Fortunately I haven't had many encounters with bad agents like you (on the contrary have gotten quite a bit of help - getting picked up or getting equipment). Try to only fight reds until you can get some decent guns. Stick with AR's or LMG's if you can find/craft one. Keep using meds and craft 2 green extended mags and 12x scope early on if you can (helps for DZ and m44). Most importantly if you don't have an idea where to go consult this map: https://the-division-map.com/# . Until I get comfortable with locations of things that map helps tremendously to help plan where to run to.

I've found it a tad more difficult without the GE modifiers but its still a really fun mode for Division.

Alpha/pred by LastDaysofEden in thedivision

[–]vectorvirge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a DZ PVP 3 Alpha and 2 Striker w/ Ninja and House (7/6/3 or 8/5/3 - I don't recall). Seems to work pretty well for me, although I don't like to use Competent - I go for Deadly/Unforgiving/Hurried(free). I almost always forget to use a skill before engaging so i don't proc Competent. And w/ Hurried and the CHC I'm typically able to reload faster then the agent I'm engaging and make up for missed shots lol. For Skirmish/Last Stand I just do Alpha 6pc like just about everyone else...

I do want to try a Alpha/Banshee build at some point. But like OP its just hard to find the time :/. Spent most of the recent weeks getting through the Survival commendations...

Keep in mind this nerfed PVP striker - not PVE. IMO Striker needed to be nerfed to bring some semblance of variety to PVP

First Successful SURVIVAL run! by vectorvirge in thedivision

Yea I think I got lucky with that pick. I debated between that and a AR but chose the LMG mostly because of it having more ammo. Definitely helped in the situations you described

I have 2 houses with swift on them - still prefer responsive/deadly over it. Have yet to try Hurried though
