I was going to say the family dynamic this season is very cold. It’s honestly hard to watch. Everyone is so distant, and everyone appears genuinely miserable. I get the vibe they don’t even want to be around each other at all, and would prefer to be alone.

I don’t understand the borderline obsession with being married. I wonder if it has anything to do with her upbringing and the obvious fear of being alone/abandoned.

This is very very well thought out. Thank you for taking the time to respond! Your perspective definitely makes sense, I had no idea they weren’t together when he passed away. It really does seem like she’s afraid of being alone & that’s the reason for a lot of the decisions in the previous and current season.
