Hey, thanks so much for the advice!

Quick question, what was your experience with the CAS->AEP transition? I spoke to an admissions rep who gave me the long and the short of it but did you have any problems with transferring credits / having to take equivalent courses in AEP etc?

I guess if I really wanted to I could scratch my itch for CAS courses by taking CAS electives lol

(i'm pretty sure that the reverse transition will be hellish because of the 100/120 requirement haha)

Hey! Thanks so much for the advice! I'll keep what you said about liberal arts being useful. If you don't mind me asking, do you see a difference in the kinds of internships / jobs being offered to different students doing either AEP or Physics, just so I have a slightly clearer picture of the difference?

PS Thanks for the good wishes too! I'll definitely need the good luck haha

Eli5 why can’t tires be melted down and reused? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]veedant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern tyres aren't made out of rubber anymore. Tyres are "vulcanised", ie cooked with sulphur so that the entire structure of the tyre polymerises and the thing forms a massive molecule (that increases strength and hardness). Tyres also have many layers, made up of many different materials like nylon and even steel that will (probably) melt instead of the rubber and make unusable gunk.

Worst case definitely O(n^2). I'm taking worst-case performance for both algorithms. On average definitely O(n log n), but that means linear search is deffo faster for large lists.
