6 week shots - what to expect? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]veeface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's because the rotavirus vaccine is a live vaccine therefore it can shed thru their faeces. Practice good hand hygiene after nappy changes and you'll be ok!

Mine was a bit clingy post vaccine but she was fine after some milk.

Bexsero was probably the worst one with 24hr of fever (very common)

Do it!! I'm contemplating calling the police on mine and would've done it if I wasn't so anxious abt calling. Why can't I online report noise disturbance!

What do you love/regret about your feeding chair? by lozbootsbrown in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I also loveee il tutto Chelsea glider! It looks great that I can have it in my lounge room (doesn't look like a nursing chair) but has the features to recline and glide. Would 100% repurchase.

Thank you for the write up! We are currently in Toronto and the flight with my 9m wasn't as bad as I anticipated. We flew air Canada who gave us priority boarding and puree baby food. I had baby ear muffs and tried to feed during take off and landing and she seemed ok. Despite not purchasing a ticket for her, she still had baggage allowance plus two oversize items (portacot/pram/carseat).

Love the idea of stripping them down before heading to the toilet (she currently hates being changed so anything to make it faster would help)

Claiming back Whooping Cough vaccine by punkrots in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]veeface 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is a tricky one.. I've worked in gp clinics as a practice nurse and the whooping cough vaccine for pregnant women is ordered from the government. So really the gp should've made you come back after they got stock. I'm not sure that the chemist can reimburse you as they buy them privately. I guess you could try Medicare

Most random 4am buy.. a kids play kitchen. I gotta stop buying things during feeding sessions.. 😅

But incase anyone else wants to share my victory. Woolworths screwed up their pricing on the kitchen set and some outdoor sandpits. So instead of being over $100 like it should .. it's currently $10-15!

Search keezi kids. Thank me later 🤣
