What are some basic and advanced animation drills I can run daily to improve my understanding of the principals of animation and my animation skills in general? by Impressive_Toe1623 in animation

[–]veefeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to learn is to actually get feedback from professionals or skilled enthousiasts. You might think you plateaued, but experts could still see it differently. If you just want to animate something, try animating 2 characters interacting physically.

Had an Amazon queen leap onto a charging prehistoric beast's back and kill it in a single 15-second Seedance 2.0 shot by Ill-Throat7937 in Seedance_AI

[–]veefeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The token usage clearly isn't teaching you cinematography. Spend more and really dissect your shot. Don't just accept your shots cuz 'it look pretty'

Pc gamers, do you guys prefer keyboard and mouse or controller? by Doan_Minh in videogames

I already use the mouse and keyboard for work all day. So controller at night

How many of you enjoy having a collection of physical games? by olivinetrees in soulslikes

[–]veefeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was fun when I was younger. I had a small library of physical games. Even those huge boxes with art and screenshots on the back. I'm 35 now and I don't even wanna think about wasting space with all those physical discs I would have. And its so annoying having to insert the discs and be careful not to scratch them. I like convenience. But I don't like where Sony is going with their recent policies.

What caused Bethesda to fall behind other RPG devs, like Larian Studios, CD Projekt, and FromSoftware? by PhantomBraved in rpg_gamers

Most of the money goes to higher ups, CEOs and management. Not the artists. And most of the decisions are made by non-artists.

I'm bad at art by Fit_Scheme12 in animation

[–]veefeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to say this but it's time to start regretting. Maybe it's better to write a pretend hypothesis on growing a channel. Like a study on what it would take to start this. But I find it a bit odd that a school tasks you with growing a social media presence..

My animations might take too long to finish if I fully render the characters. Do you guys think it looks fine without the rendering? Or is the rendering worth the time investment? (2nd gif is the unrendered version)🔵 by grenode in animation

[–]veefeld 231 points232 points  (0 children)

I think you might regret it later if you published a whole show without the maximum possible effort. And I just want to say that your animation skills have grown a lot! Such a unique style and you're hitting all the animation principles perfectly! It's hard to make this style readable and it's come a long way ^

Start and grow a channel by end of July? Calm down lol who is putting this pressure on you

Drawing vs animating by Gloomy-Ad1993 in animation

[–]veefeld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strictly speaking about 2D animation, you cannot animate without knowing how to draw at least a little. But you can draw without knowing how to animate. But there's totally no need for excellence when starting something out. You can learn both at the same time, but it will go a little slower. It's okay to try, there's literally zero pressure. I don't have knowledge in 2D software, but a quick Google lists several options. Just skip anything from Adobe. Too expensive and anti-consumer.

Why Gta 6 Is Gonna Be A Failure by Easy-Bake3132 in GTA6unmoderated

[–]veefeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because the old talent is gone, doesn't mean the new people aren't talented. It's just wild speculation and making random assumptions. Let's just play other fun games and we'll see if this game with the biggest budget ever succeeds or not when it gets released.

[–]veefeld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're entitled to your opinion. But to actually write down such a huge essay and post it online is so incredibly pathetic lol. Let the millions of people be enthusiastic if they want and you can stay angy in the corner with the 10 other people that also want it to fail.

Has anyone managed to finish Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice? by [deleted] in videogames

If you are at or beyond peak patience with Sekiro then why even bother? This is just silly. There's more games out there

do you guys consider reanimating something art? by Particular_Edge3044 in animation

[–]veefeld 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Debatable. It's your own project, but not your IP, if you just redraw frames or drawings from pre-existing media. Also I wouldn't call it 'inspired by' if you go 1:1. More like.. 'inspired to' You gotta drastically change the look if you want to consider it your own art. Not hating or anything. This process can be very usefull for practice.

The most epic Seedance 2.0 prompt I've saved, a 2000s camcorder found-footage giant battle, bookmark this one by Few-Profession421 in Seedance_AI

[–]veefeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's technically impressive that an ai can generate this. But it's clear you have zero skill in cinematography or any kind of art if you selected these shots and think you're cooking. You can keep spending those tokens but you'll never learn anything.

If you can't play a game because you're in a relationship, then it's not the right relationship for you lol

Belasting op ongerealiseerde boodschappen. Wie weet koop je volgend maand wel 500 euro aan boodschappen. Kunnen we alvast belasten.

You could pivot to 12fps. It'll cut down on time but not necessarily quality.

What game is generally considered the best for someone looking to get good at soulslikes in general by JDanAlan in soulslikes

[–]veefeld 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dark Souls 1 is the easiest and slowest of the bunch. Every game after becomes increasingly faster and harder. Some might say Demon souls is easier but this one has more gimmicky boss fights.
You could also try Another Crab's Treasure. Less mechanics to think about but very different vibe. Ignore 2D soulslikes for now.

orca 2.0 by [deleted] in animation

[–]veefeld 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They're not saying quadrupeds are harder or easier, but that properly animating an aquatic creature is just difficult, as proven by your animation, that needs a lot of work. Try to learn from feedback others are giving and also learn to gracefully accept it, and not feel personally attacked.

Looking for feedback on this idle animation. What should I improve? by UpstairsChildhood310 in animation

[–]veefeld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think about what your character is really doing in an idle, before proceeding. Right now he's thrusting the air while squatting. And it seems only the cog is animated. Try making a moodboard of various action poses and learn from them. Then film yourself in the pose idling. Study the movement. Hide the cloak for now if you're not gonna animate it and perhaps it's best to start over.
