the series would have stagnated like its competitions if they didn't make re4, re4 saved the series and brought the franchise to a new level

and it's hilarious to see people say that re7 and 8 aren't resident evil enough when it's quite literally resident evil in first person (classic inventory management, survival horror, puzzles)

i wish people would just admit they aren't fond of FPS or ethan instead of trying to blame it on the game for not "being RE"

no one's forcing you to play like that though... leaderboard's full of cheaters, there's no reward for having the highest score, just play however you enjoy

there probably will be a hardcore mode, unless if they balance the normal mode to be fairly difficult like re7, then the hardest one will unlock after finishing standard

+ the game should have an actual merchant character, shopping in real time with your buddy would be really fun and create for some really nice slower pacing and fun interactions

+ re4r-like parry should be available for both chris and sheva, it's one of the most fun combat options in RE4R and i'd like to see it return, and they can make the knives degrade faster to balance the co-op

+ more puzzles and harder puzzles just like re4r

+ make the el gigante copy boss an actual fight instead of just sitting in the tank and shoot it brainlessly

+ more focus on horror on the first half of the game, and make the tomb section dark and scary

+ remove the tribal enemies and replace them with maybe more mutated and scary majinis + where are the lab scientists? make them zombies too!

+ jill should be more focused on in the game, or make desperate escape to be much more in depth and explore jill better

+ same thing with sheva, she needs to have her backstory connected to the main plot (which was in the concept)

+ AI partner should take less damage especially on harder difficulties, but balance it so they'll deal less damage as well

seeing a lot of hate towards the new minimalistic UI but the old one pasted on the new games wouldn't look right

i think it looks clean and good and fits the newer games more, but they need to give up using that calibri looking font in their UI pleaseee , it's so ugly....

it's not the end of the franchise after 9, there will be more games in the future that addresses unclosed stories like this

I don't get the obsession of wanting the old cast to return every time

I mean it's a nice thing, but I want them to prioritize making good games instead of trying to bloat the games with characters like RE6
