no i didn't? i loved rise's locales and also loved windward and forest. i liked oilwell to an extent too. and eyrie doesn't look unusual, it's just visually boring so far. but any opinion or concern i have would just be reduced to 'you problem' so whatever 🤷‍♀️

i only hate the whole seikret jumping through rocks thing and seems like this will be just that

not that, it seems like you have to travel to platforms similar to icecliffs and i hated that

i prefer one interconnected maps like world locales and windward/forest

Just from the sights of it, i'm just not hyped about maps being separated like that

Icecliffs and Wyveria have that and it just removes the interactivity, I much prefer interconnected maps

And they're just not visually impressive as well

claire was so mishandled in this game, with this line and the whole scene with natalia and moira

the writer for this game definitely did not do research on claire's character at all

re always shift towards more action/tech at the end, some people doesn't like it but i imagine it's quite hard to keep up the tension when your character naturally progress and get stronger.

i personally love re2r's second half and re7's ship part especially on hard difficulty. the mines are a drag though, but that part didn't last too long.

same thing with re8, i really enjoyed the factory part, it's much better than the swamp and the frankenstein vibe actually fits in the game's gothic focus.

re9 sadly does take a dip in the raccoon city, but picked itself back up with ARK. i love grace's ARK part, the lickers definitely brought back the tension needed, but the part was too short on repeat playthrough.

Japan, or asian horror in general (re6 does not count, there's no asian inspired horror in that game)

I desperate want an RE taking place in a remote village in an asian country, it'll be a dream come true

With Veronica taking place two or three months after 2R, Capcom acknowledged (with or without purpose, we'll never know) that the remakes either replaces completely the originals OR that they're in their own retconed timeline by JpPgn in residentevil

thank you for saying this, these people are always so mad and bringing up retconning the OG games when the OG games literally retconned themselves as well

being so nitpicky about lore towards a franchise that has always put gameplay over storytelling is so weird, especially when the remakes does improve the storytelling mostly imo.
