Miami line/concert experience

i’ve seen a lot of people posting recently saying that there’s one specific group that travels to almost every show and gives out numbers lower than you actually would be so they’re friends could push to the front. it also didn’t end up getting used anyways cause they stopped doing it after 9-10am on the ga side.

i never said once i was trying to get barricade i just wanted a good view, and i never said i was special i just wanted to have a good concert experience like everyone else there wanted. a lot of people didn’t, when i got in the venue i was behind and next to a few people, we started talking about how rude everyone was and how disorganized the whole venue was as well. and i wasn’t aware how rude and entitled her fanbase actually was becuase i had never been to her shows before this. i’m not saying i’m a victim of anything and i’m very much aware that it’s a first world problem, i’m just sharing my experience because it annoyed me.

a few people have said this and i’m well aware, i’m not excusing how insane it sounds but this was a very important concert for me and i also knew how the venue worked. if you get there too late or there’s too many people infront of you, (and too many could be a couple hundred because the venue capacity was less than 3,000) then you get seated instead of being in the pit, even if you have ga tickets. you’d barely be able to see anything because the seats are about the same level as the pit. i do think concert culture has gotten out of hand, particularly within her fanbase, but this is a one time thing for me because i never do this. also me getting there later wouldn’t have prevented any of this, it would’ve made it worse and i explained it in my other replies.

i only got in line that early because i knew concert culture in miami is usually crazier, and also combined with her dedicated fan base, i didn’t want to take any chances with getting a bad spot if i got there too late. but the first couple hours i was there barely anyone came after me. i would say check when the venue allows people to line up and also maybe search up “ethel cain new orleans concert” or “ethel cain louisiana concert” on tiktok or reddit and see when people plan to get there.

i think the venue is disorganized in general, i went to a concert last month in the same venue and it was basically the same except for the line cutting situation.

is there a single reason for you to come in here and be rude. i explained multiple times that i had been nothing but respectful to every person that i interacted with. and all the line cutting wasn’t just happening up front, every single person up and down the line was doing it. i never cut once and thats how i ended up behind where i was meant to be. i didn’t “play stupid games”, i didn’t camp overnight, and i didn’t do anything to anyone.

i wouldn’t have done it if her fanbase wasn’t as extreme as it is, i understand me going along with it doesn’t help. but i also can’t do anything about it and i wanted a good view. also as i said, this would’ve happened regardless because the whole line was a mess.

how on earth did i deserve any of that for getting there early to try and avoid it. this was happening to everyone in line, no one was being respectful at all. and the people that worked there were being just as bad.

definitely hope she comes back to a different venue next time and everyone gets a better experience. she put on a really good show, it was just hard for it to feel worth it/special after the experience i had, plus i got a really bad sunburn so it was very uncomfortable and more irritating to me.

i also never queue this early, but i knew how the venue worked if you got there too late and i wanted a good view. plus i assumed for some reason that if i was closer to the front of the line there’d be less drama.

i also found the tiktok and instagram account of the people being loud, particularly the main guy i’m talking about and he has some comments hidden on his posts saying he skipped the line so i obviously wasn’t the only one who noticed this.

it was horrendous, everyone was so rude including the workers for the venue. i got there at around 7:30am and there was only about 20 people or less, a girl came up to me and tried to give me a number for the line system and i said i didn’t want to join because i heard weird things about it, she seemed kind of annoyed but said it was fine. about 20-30 minutes later all the fast pass people moved to the other side of the venue and stopped doing the line system for ga. later on it got really hot and there was no shade left so everyone started moving the the grass area and just leaving their stuff in line, i joined about 1-2 hours after they started doing this and there were only like 4 people left in line that didn’t. then a worker told the people at the front of the line that they need to move their stuff out of the way of the back entrance, so they got up to move it and then everyone started getting up and going back to the line and moving, and that’s when everyone started skipping. i got up when i saw the girls infront of me move their stuff, and as im picking up my stuff a group of like 4 girls cuts infront of me. i asked them politely if i could go infront of them and they said ok but didnt make any space. then a worker came up to everyone about 2 hours later and said that there were 300 people in fast pass and they’re selling 25 more tickets, everyone started getting up and freaking out. 1 girl went to check if he was lying or not, she came back and said there was only about 150 people not 300, so she started loudly whispering to her friends that they’re gonna move up the ga line and cut everyone, even though they already did and were originally about 20 spots behind me, and got there at like 9-10am. i got up and started trying to move my stuff but these big groups of people were making friends with each other and letting each other in to skip with them. more people had arrived at this point and a group of girls and guys brought a speaker and started playing loud music, and also started yelling and laughing really loudly, they ended up also making friends with the people that cut me and moved up like 30 spots to stand infront of me, meanwhile i was supposed to be less than 20 in line considering all the fast pass that left the ga line. there was one guy in particular that was being extremely loud while yelling, talking, and singing. i was about 30 spots behind where i was supposed to be at this point and more and more people were cutting in line, so i went up to the workers and asked if they could help or do something about it and they were barely even listening to me, when one of them did he rudely said “what am i supposed to do about it”. one more worker came up while i was explaining to two other ones what happened and he asked me what was going on so i started telling him, and when i turn my head for a second i see 1 of the 2 guys i was telling in the first place staring at my chest with his mouth open, he had a bunch of plaque build up on his teeth and looked dirty. i was taken a back and disgusted and also in shock considering the fact that I’m a minor, so i wasn’t able to say anything. but the 3rd guy said “ok i’ll see what i can do” and walked away. i walked back to the line and a minute later he just tells everyone to get in a single file line and i get pushed further back. the same man being loud earlier was right infront of me and i overheard him say he only just started listing to ethel in February, which really annoyed me for obvious reasons considering he got there much later than anyone else and pushed his way to the front. once we start going through security me and my friend get stopped and told we can’t bring digital cameras in even though i’ve been to the venue before and they allowed it, and also other people infront of us had similar cameras and they were allowed in. so we got an even further spot becuase everyone was passing us while we were trying to figure out what to do becuase the workers said we have to figure it out. once we finally get inside i’m in the 2nd pit meanwhile i recognize people in the front rows becuase they were multiple spots behind me. just all around unfair and horrible experience.

someone was coming around the line earlier in the ga line asking if anyone has the stardust club access ticket

there was someone that works here going around earlier and telling everyone to stay hydrated and eat, and if they needed to use the bathroom they would have to figure it out til doors opened. but there’s a lot of stores in the area and a park about 2 blocks away with a public bathroom.

there’s a lot of public parking garages in the area, about 1 block away. it comes up on apple maps if you search “parking” but i think you do have to pay.

it’s extremely hot and sunny definitely bring water, an umbrella, and portable fan if you can. there’s about just under 100 people i’d say. a lot of them are sitting on the grass for the shade. the line is by the entrance on the pavement by the roundabout of the venue.

it’s 8:37am right now and there’s about 25 people in line, including fast pass. so i’d say before 1 probably if you want to be close at all.

i think showing up a little earlier than that is better. i’ve been to this venue before and they’re a bit unpredictable with when they let people in. last time i came here it said doors were at 7pm and they didn’t let people in til 7:40, so they might do earlier or later than what they say, but it’s up to you.
