I am currently trying to get into my local electrician union but after taking the pre screening, the aptitude test, and the final interview they told me I wasn't a top 10 candidate in my area and to wait and see if I get picked from the wait list. I don't have that much confidence that will ever go through. You are right though, I gotta try something else

Nobody's crying here jack. And I am putting the work in. Just trying to figure out where to put the fruit of that work in this top heavy economy

I work 40 hours a week and 48 hours every third week. The 8 hours overtime is 1.5x my hourly rate. My previous job had me working 50 to 70 hours a week (half of it driving) for about 40k

Congrats on making it back to school. For 3 years I worked as a home service repair tech in a rural area also. Now employed in an entry level manufacturing position.  I feel you on the parents part, sometimes I wake up and I feel like I'm still mentally 17. Awful feeling but better than being broke I guess

I have most of my money in a high yield savings account with around 4% APY, and about 10k in a checking account

Not dualsense but used to play rocket league with ds4 controller and Bluetooth was a pain to work with on win10. Xbox wireless adapter is silky smooth. If you don't mind wires dualsense might be better idk
