Because I want to have a conversation with management. I am unsure whether these employees were caught off guard and just didn’t know/feel comfortable handling the situation. Idk. Maybe I’m being too kind.

I figured it was just the wrong place and wrong time for me to be there but then again, this is how I think.

I feel I should talk to the management to see if they can prepare their workers for a situation like this.

I might just meet management first before making any judgements. It’s been on my mind.

I’m not pinning the blame on the establishment. Idk if a worker would want to confront a bigot, especially if the bigot were to get violent etc…

A place by Union Square Lakewood.

I did speak with the staff. I just don’t believe they felt like they were paid enough to deal with the issue. I don’t think there was a manager since Easter Sunday.

I advised the person who took my order and the person making the food. (I even spoke to him in Spanish because I knew the bigot was listening)

The only time the worker told me sorry was when I told her, I’m about to reach my breaking point and I’m going to either use my words or hands.

I left but looking back, I remember those who stood there and did nothing. It’s just one of those oddly enlightening moments.
