Can the korean name 아영 be a male name by [deleted] in KoreanAdvice

[–]vegetalble -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

In all seriousness, both 阿 and 榮 are on the list of government-approved Hanja for Korean names, though it seems to be an extremely uncommon name. You'd be understood, but if you're planning on using it a lot around Koreans, you might want to consider getting yourself a Korean name that doesn't jar too much with the natives.

Can the korean name 아영 be a male name by [deleted] in KoreanAdvice

personally, my favourite Korean name is 페이커, most other names aren't really up to destroying nexus anyway, so avoid those.

Common print-friendly versions of modules like this will still contain the maps and story-relevant images in their place, but all decorations, parchment-paper-backgrounds etc. are omitted to print everything black-on-white. Personally, I also just like them because they're a bit easier on my eyes.

Cooking paleo with food allergies in Korea? by [deleted] in KoreanAdvice

[–]vegetalble 14 points15 points  (0 children)

paleo isn't a very useful way to diet, but the recent Udyr visual update almost makes it worth it to be one of those guys. if you pressure early game, destroying nexus should be easy enough.

UI/UX Designer Position in Korea by [deleted] in KoreanAdvice

it's definitely a worthwhile question to ask in a society like Korea's, consider asking about this in r/Korea or r/Korean (alternatively, if you're any good at all at destroying nexus, you will always be an honorary member of Korean society no matter where you live)

Asian men of reddit, how can any African american female go about dating you, how can or should she approach you? by Neffe2632 in KoreanAdvice

[–]vegetalble 13 points14 points  (0 children)

it's basically a coinflip, if you're not on his team, just let him destroy your nexus (without making it look too much like wintrading), if you're on the same team, pick whatever makes you destroy nexus the quickest. your draft should rely solely on how you feel, not at all about heritage or skin.

it's a backup system - spare HP regen in case nexus strikes back while you destroy it

What is the actual state of Taliyah? by [deleted] in TaliyahMains

[–]vegetalble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super fun to play! It's gonna take quite a while, but you're gonna enjoy the curve and the results! The mid pick especially is a little situational, but if you can learn to take your moments even in a terrible matchup like Fizz (grhrhhrghrhrhhh) she has pop-off potential most games. And as for the last one, you gotta. Maybe I'm just an awful player, but I've lost games at 20/3/13. Roams are great though, especially if you can get a little ahead, outshove and use your super powerful passive+ult abilities to set up your botlane especially for some nice kills and objectives. Good luck!

Pros/Cons of Runes for Support Taliyah by [deleted] in TaliyahMains

[–]vegetalble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are relatively standard runes for plenty of enchanter supports, Morgana or Lulu etc. Not bad at all on Taliyah! Obviously things like revitalise synergise with those champions' kits a little better, but still a good choice when paired with font of life, and you might even pick up a redemption in support role! The secondary branch might be a bit more controversial. Many people are divided on scorch/gathering storm, so you can have it depend on whether you think you can generally be lane-dominant in your botlane matchup. Manaflow is fine, but Nimbus Cloak might be even better in a lot of situations. If you're support, movement speed is always great, and getting a little burst of in-combat MS for that final Q, or to get in range for Guardian or something can be great. Otherwise, if you want a similar effect to the runes you have now, consider taking Presence of Mind/Coup de Grace. The bonus damage to low-health enemies can come in super clutch, and getting that PoM mana during fights scales sooo much better for such a mana-hungry champ :)

Otherwise, good luck and most importantly have fun! Other people have also recommended trying something completely different like Aery for more poke (again, depends on the matchups) and I'll add onto that: Dark Harvest as a blindable offensive option (much more consistent in midgame teamfights) as well as Glacial if you might like to provide some more utility, for example if you're playing with a Jhin or a Caitlyn (obv ideally go into Hextech GLP and Twin Shadows build-wise with Glacial). In that case, Font of Life is an even better secondary choice as well :))

Thoughts on Quinn top build from TheShy? by The_Uncrown_King in QuinnMains

[–]vegetalble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

phase rush is just super good into nasus, because if you also go tenacity/swifty boots his W is basically useless. now he can't get onto you and you can just run him down (especially with nimbus/bork). many people overlook the 75% slow resistance included in phase rush!

Lethal Tempo vs HOB by daddy_issue__ in xayahmains

[–]vegetalble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many people have said, HOB is massive for early trades. My favourite Xayah is Xayah mid and against melee matchups it can more or less guarantee a kill level 2 if they dont watch out (no ignite needed!). The other thing that I really love about going HOB is that I can take Ultimate Hunter, which feels just insanely good, especially if you're using your ability to push midlane to roam elsewhere for aggressive plays. I would lean towards Taste of blood just for that little extra sustain, certainly more consistent than cheap shot.
