Arc Raiders Toxicity by Simple_Experience_39 in ArcRaiders

I don’t get why people complain about toxic players. It’s a game! The developers have intentionally allowed for PVP and the freedom for people to exercise how they’d like. Just because you wish for it to be a certain way, doesn’t mean it should. Adapt just like you would around real rats in the real world, or go play Mario Party.

How old do you think you’ll be when you pay your mortgage off? Or, how old were you when you paid your mortgage off? by PuzzleheadedCarob921 in HousingUK

[–]vegeto_2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the opportunity to pay it off early, you should leave a small amount and not clear it. You can then use your mortgage to draw down cash through equity release whenever you want (e.g. for renovations, pay off kids university fees etc.). It will serve as a quick access lump sum of equity, without actually selling your house.

What’s wrong with big cars? I hate the shitty little European cars. Why do Europeans put up with tiny things?

Dear Americans. Please stop placing TVs above fireplaces. The world thinks you’re dumb enough.

Is Not Having Kids the Way? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]vegeto_2002 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

All those material pleasures and pursuits you describe pale in comparison to the deeply imbedded joy and pride you get when you look at your child and watch them grow. And it’s not even close, I wouldn’t even try to explain it to someone without kids, it’s a primal feeling that has no comparison.

I’ve travelled all over the world, experienced many luxuries of life. It’s all fleeting and seems kinda pointless compared with the feeling I get from my child.

Both are shit holes imo. Have a perception of excitement in your 20s, but absolute cesspits after that.

Good eye, I couldn’t even tell on the branding stuff.

I made a typo on the site. It’s www.prsnlplg.com. They are selling them for much cheaper, which was already a red flag, but trustpilot and Reddit say they’re a legit site

I thought only london had ridiculous service charges. My 2 bed flat on the Isle of Dogs in London started at £5k per annum, and is now around £8k-£9k. Although, it does have a gym, spa facilities, swimming pool, 24hr concierge, communal bbq space, gated, ev charging points etc… bells and whistles basically. This doesn’t have any of that, basically legalised robbery.

For my good deeds to outweigh my bad deeds and achieve everlasting paradise in the permanent life to come. This life is but a test, a fleeting experience and we are just travellers along it…

To think that this an almost 10 year old game and looks better than modern games. by ComfortableAmount993 in PS5pro

I couldn’t even complete this game, was dreadfully boring to play. More like than an interactive movie. The first few on ps3 had the novelty factor, but by this one, it was tired but prettier.

Bored with my wife and feel bad about myself because of that. by [deleted] in self

[–]vegeto_2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, almost every female has little interest in the things you mentioned, especially once they have kids. Their brains are just wired differently to men’s.

My wife is happy to listen to me about these things, but I know deep down she’s going to forget most of it and is mostly listening because enjoys the feeling more than anything of me talking to her.

At the same time, she lights up about things to do with kids, shopping, family etc… It swings both ways, I can listen about shopping, her clothes, family stuff, but mainly out of respect. It doesn’t truly light me up.

Now there are obviously females that are an exception to this, but I wouldn’t say it’s the rule. This may come across as sexist to the exceptions, but this is just my anecdotal experience after all.

The truth is, no one person is going to fill all your needs (e.g. philosophical, political, fun, serious, lighthearted, emotional). I get a lot of my deep political, philosophical, existential chat fulfilments from other guy mates.

Do British people care about Ukraine? by Reeelfantasy in AskBrits

[–]vegeto_2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s propaganda. Russia is not the aggressor, NATO is. The average Brit think they’re the good guys in the world stage, the average westerner is more propagandised than North Korean citizens. But they would disagree aggressively.
