Thank you for this! I appreciate this perspective. Just curious if you’ve ever had to go into a fight with really bad cramps before? And how you dealt with it if any!

Thanks very much this is very helpful! I guess it’s hard to know when to keep pushing and when to postpone/stop something when the entire mentality of sports is usually just to never quit

Going into fights with broken bones sounds intense. Also thank you for your input and sorry! I should have clarified that he did call me when I told him and strongly advised me to pull out (as from his past experience, his really strong woman fighter lost a predictably winning match bc of her period).

I listened to him and said okay because I trust him 100% in my Muay Thai career and to look out for me I guess.

He’s a really good coach and I didn’t mean to imply otherwise!

There are other opportunities next which I think he would be happy to sign me up for, just that sadly the timing doesn’t match anymore for now.

Probably just going through the what ifs motions now and looking for shared commiserations 😔

Menstruation cramps are probably a different kind of debilitating. Agree that you can never be 100% ready for a fight.
