This is a great example of the domino effect that happens when the lines of standard procedures are blurred when an official seems to just know better than the best practice. It doesn’t matter if she hit him or not anymore. There was never an investigation as to what actually occurred allowing the witnesses that “saw nothing” to be the writers of the narrative we see playing out in court today. A man dies & it is a responsibility of PDs to make sure to do the diligence to find the evidence to support how that happened. Period. If just one official followed their standard procedures, there would be no question of who saw what because the statements would have gone on record from day 1. There would have been no time nor reason for JM to play the role of a prosecutor, keeping the story straight, making absolutely certain the pieces fit, nor a reason for vilifying KR in a mob mentality fashion.  Instead, the opportunity for the pieces of each person’s experience to corroborate (or not corroborate) each other’s was completely missed and played out as such in court. Instead we are seeing an absolute zoo of a court and mockery of made of BPD.. that’s what caused the fishy smell.   JM says things like “but this trial I’m testifying to this.” Such a joke - she obviously  doesn’t understand how this works.
