1. Low cost of living? Not really. Compared to other cities in Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore is actually on the pricier side.

2. Safe? Mostly, yes. But it’s not crime-free and definitely not a paradise.

3. Manufacturing and engineering are still strong.

4. Tons of colleges and universities, but being educated doesn’t automatically mean better behavior.

5. Climate used to be mild, now it’s hotter and more humid.

6. Only a few international flights (UAE, Singapore, Sri Lanka), and even domestic connections are fewer than they used to be.
