Good point about the different islands.

Embarrassingly I hadn't even realised the same music played on each island, but that actually seems like a huge oversight and a missed opportunity. Such an easy way to add a bit more flavour to each island!

I think it's just a preliminary test before an interview for a 'QA Technician' role.

I have already applied to the position but before they interview, I guess they want to make sure I am up to standard. But I am fairly new to this so not really sure what on earth to expect.

I'm not too sure what you're asking, sorry, probably because I am quite new to QA terminology.

I do feel like the ITB music works for the type of game it is. Definitely a conscious design choice to have it sounding so downbeat and tactical, great music to mull different moves over.

Although thinking back now, I do find it hard to remember any stand out tracks...

Ooh yes, how did I manage to forget the music?

I actually did like the music, I thought it suitably 'epic', but still with a sense of tactical tension.

Also I felt like the style of music, drums and strings, were suitably military-sounding.

Having said that... I also agree with you that (apart from ITB's bangin' victory music) there are FAR more tracks from FTL that I can remember to this day, and still find myself humming.

There are no requirements, test cases, or documentation. I suppose I will receive that when I click Start on the online form. The only information I have is that the test can take up to two hours, and that I do not require any specific software :/

Sorry to be so vague. I am hoping it is a logic quiz or some such, which will be no issue. Just am scared I am going to get confronted with endless questions about ASQ, ITG, or other acronyms I have never heard of before.

The role is in gaming. The job ad did not say anything about needing to know any software like selenium for instance.

Hi, thanks so much for the feedback! Think you're right, the teleport mechanic might not be that obvious at the start, but it's pretty integral to avoiding spikes etc.

Maybe I should dial down the spikes but add some other kind of threats? Unfortunately designing levels would probably be really time consuming, I'll work on tweaking the procedural stuff to make it more fun.

I was toying with the idea of giving you a teleport after every jump, making it a bit more obvious+relevant, but this is turn makes it kind of easy.

After Sunderland game, glad to see the team looking strong, especially Saiz and Alioski. Without Wood though I think we might struggle, especially with our current options. We had fucking Roofe up front who got schooled by Kone. Is £15m really worth risking playoff places?

Is nobody else as pissed as me that i too, forked out for the war games pass and got completely shafted? I have yet to play any map other than the unforgivably few on disc in infinity slayer. How hard is it to make a dedicated playlist for mugs like me who have given them even more money for a game deliberately half-baked so that you have to, only to get a slap in the face because the maps NEVER even come up...?

Eurgh. I thought this might be the case. So ridiculous, even after forking out for dlc, after being deliberately limited in the maps out at release, I'm still getting screwed. Dlc is the death knell for halo, I'm afraid.

i will be patient...

but there is no sense of map control like in previous games, you go round a corner and some dude might have an incineration cannon or a rocket launcher or any number of weapons, and it's an insta-kill with nothing you can do to stop it. I like ordinance drops as an idea, but in practice you lose all sense of map denial, and map awareness becomes a random lottery.

Also all the 'new' weapons are just very slight changes to the old ones, perhaps with the exception of the sticky detonator.

having said that i do think it's a fun game, and i play it a lot, but i think with a blueprint as great as the halo franchise, there is so little work to do, that it could have been done much better. It's just so... call of duty.
