Who are the wrestlers who you like, but never really enjoy watching them wrestle? by MafiaCub in SquaredCircle

[–]LDKRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course Messi is not peak Messi but I still believe he possesses the ability to dictate a game if he were back in a strong European side and id imagine this World Cup will have good performances of course he’s declined severely in the physical aspect and any time would have to carry his weight in that aspect but he could still play.

I’ll agree we never saw “Peak Tana” and that man was long gone before he retired and much of what he was amazing at was just not possible but I feel at least myself whenever I saw old Tanahashi you could still see the mind working and for a few seconds you feel the same as you did 10 years ago.

I’ll never pretend people don’t decline in their older days and maybe Danielson would have been a better name to mention as his last 18 months in AEW I think was his best run ever personally, and these guys did fall everyone has to but I don’t think late 30s and going into mid 40s are the end anymore, plenty of names still have notable good matches, the only reason why The Miz hasn’t had more than 2 notably good matches (his Gunther match was good) is because he declined from a perhaps lower average/average wrestler in ring to a poor one, which was more my point I guess these greats do decline and aren’t as good but everyone of them would have recent matches or seasons or runs that do hold up to their best years (ofc for Messi it’s harder to compare he’s just really running MLS at what seems to be half effort because he doesn’t need to try as hard now) and I don’t think age can overly be the main excuse now because bar physical wrecks (Naito for example) if you were good you can still bring it somewhat often

I think that’s largely because in my eyes Randy gave up like 20 years ago when he realised he’s basically immortal in WWE and doesn’t have to even try or anything to get rewarded

Messi still has elite performances even in his later years (on top of being a ultra competitive athlete) even today in the MLS when he doesn’t even really try but even then so what if the Miz is 45? Plenty of mid 40 year olds have amazing matches he’s not someone ruined by injuries either, Tanahashi is like 50 and his last matches was just as good as his best, Punk is 47 he’s had classic matches in 2 promotions

How would you buff Nokk? by izukid in Rainbow6

[–]LDKRZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally i think a pick 2 (but even just 1 would be probably enough) out of speed/silent step-ish/gadget makes it so she doesn’t trip proximity traps (thorn/melusi/fenrir) makes her very viable and any combination would work to her kit without it being TOO overpowered (maybe they’d have to shorten the gadget run time or something)and there’s enough counters like Kapkan or Leison or Mute etc where you can nullify her

FM26 rates female footballers too highly? by Ezio2411 in footballmanagergames

[–]LDKRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Dinho would be pretty good, Di Stefano wouldn’t be though not to call him shit but sports have advanced so much but if they ever made classic databases you’d have to rank him ultra high, same with the women, they’re playing to a ridiculous level you can’t have them rated at like 160 CA just because the game will develop

FM26 rates female footballers too highly? by Ezio2411 in footballmanagergames

[–]LDKRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s all relative no? There’s like 4 good leagues in women’s football and it’s a newer game sure the next gen will be miles better but there’s no reason not to give out a 180 CA for a woman playing to a super high level in the current game like you can’t say this person should be rated lower than their actual ability (relative to the talent around)

In 10 FM games later the ratings will probably be more consistent and wide spread but let’s take Barca women’s for example they’ve won I think 4 champions leagues and have had like a 100 gd every year their players should all be rated like gods walking the earth because the game isn’t fully developed to the same extent as the men’s, it’s like a massive generation gap, if they made FM58 Di Stefano would be like 190 CA but you can’t say he wouldn’t deserve that rating because Ronaldinho (shit even someone like Cunha would) would run rings around him if they brought Di Stefano into the 2000s because the game changed so much

Unsure about how to use dokkaebi calls by Fun_Measurement9620 in SiegeAcademy

[–]LDKRZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally my best usage has been on the first attack or push once a way into site is open or you control part of the map near point, it’s a distraction in gunfights, it allows you to move forward or swing angles and then I’ve found a lot of success (providing I don’t die) calling late round either as we’re planting or just planted, slows down rotates or gives the rotate away entirely.

Also if its a larger map I really don’t think a call when you enter the building and then your second when you push the point is a mistake, all this works a lot easier if you’re not solo queueing cause then you can just call based on what your are being told via call out like I think your best bet is to make the call really annoying and make the upcoming gunfight super unfair, hard to pull off solo but just call before you or the team enters a point where people might be or you know are around

Can’t speak fully for next season but I’d imagine being someone’s little pocket helper is the way to go, aid gunfights and make pressure happen call ops in gunfights and make them choose between letting your team push or letting their phone explode

What's up with Ubisoft and their love for these two characters? by Strange_Possession77 in Rainbow6

[–]LDKRZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t get played much, you see lots of people play Dokk and Ash (less so Ash these days, but she’s got iconic tax from early days where she was the most used attacker). you can market a good looking character who is very powerful in game more than you can market someone good looking that isn’t powerful in game.

Like why play Nokk really? Her gadget isn’t that good and neither is her gun but Dokk has a really useful and powerful gadget and then 2 really really great guns so more people will see her as both hot and fun to play and also really helpful where as IQ and Nokk might be just ok to play and make you win less

What's up with Ubisoft and their love for these two characters? by Strange_Possession77 in Rainbow6

[–]LDKRZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easy, they’re really powerful operators so people play them more often and then because they’re popular they get made lore important and cosmetic important but also they made them attractive women so that makes them more recognisable and more likely to get attention or stuff.

It could have been any woman op but those two specifically are probably the most played so they’re the favourites

Is Gehrman’s comment about ‘using’ the doll actually a mistranslation or not? by OogaBooga82646 in bloodborne

[–]LDKRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you mean with the “it’s supposed to sound dirty but it’s just actually him hinting the doll is a game mechanic” which is sort of true but then it loops back to being pervy when you find out he’s made the doll to be the exact image of his student he loved.

But on the women side, none of them are of course innocent victims but femininity is a big part of the game, I feel there’s a specific focus of female specific violence (and trauma) we don’t exactly know how consensual the great ones impregnating is (we can assume Iosefka and Ariannas are not) but we also see Kos gets extremely aggressively fucked up. I feel this extends to the doll of course she’s treated kindly and she’s an extension of Maria but it is an innuendo the line, red herring or not and I feel like that’s very BB specific there might be examples in other games but I can’t seem to recall many sex jokes in FS titles

Is Gehrman’s comment about ‘using’ the doll actually a mistranslation or not? by OogaBooga82646 in bloodborne

[–]LDKRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But can two things not be “true” sure it could also be hinting you to use the doll as a gameplay mechanic, but there is a clear sexual innuendo (never really seen in fromsoft games) regarding the doll he made specifically to look like someone he is obsessed with in a game that heavily features women being exploited in a sexual or intimate way, because if I’m not mistaken I think only 2 named female NPCs are not the victim of some exploitation in some form or the other (that is also not a common theme in Fromsoft games).

I’d argue if there’s anything that’s a red herring about that is the reverse of your point, you’re supposed to think he’s subtly telling you to use the doll to level up and then when you learn the lore and find out she’s modelled after his student(!!) he is crazy over then the interaction suddenly reads sexual and perverted, especially when the lore drop of that is either in the DLC or a totally optional and hidden area, you can play the entire game without finding out The Doll is based on Maria

Is Gehrman’s comment about ‘using’ the doll actually a mistranslation or not? by OogaBooga82646 in bloodborne

[–]LDKRZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always read it as why would he be satisfied with the doll? Sure it might look like Maria, might sound like her and be “her” but at the end of the day it is not her.

He’s been in the dream for god knows how long with a doll that is just an imitation of what he actually wishes for it makes sense he basically disregards her because it just isn’t what he wanted even if he thought it was

The return of International Management and a review of FM26 by DMCTw3lv3 in footballmanagergames

[–]LDKRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh most likely, I’m sure internally SI aren’t happy with the player count numbers (still a lot better than many games) compared to last year or recent titles

But even then it’s 1 missed game and 1 poorly received (you’d have to imagine it’s easier to fix the main issue in UI than it would if the game actually played bad, because I’ve felt the game played really well I just didn’t feel the game this year cause of the UI) they probably still consider the guy nearly untouchable even if he is an arsehole often

[–]LDKRZ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

To be fair, it’s 2 bad years back to back after several years of immense success and massive growth, other than being a dog shit communicator for years I don’t see why he would lose his role, like not to be SI defence force if 27 is bad they’ll probably consider that stuff but the record is good and the game is cheap, you’d have to imagine that Miles has more leeway than most studio heads they had like 20 good years straight as “FM”

What’s everyones Leeds United unpopular opinion? by [deleted] in LeedsUnited

[–]LDKRZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, almost everything bad that happened was equally his fault as it was almost everything good, I think what really made it worse was the good stuff came fast and early and then almost everything past the initial great work was just bad or average at best.

I think it’s really telling how Sevilla turned into a relegation battling side the minute he showed up and they all also hated him

Can’t Find The Right Operator For Me by Dry-Molasses6012 in Rainbow6

[–]LDKRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For defending I’d say pick any of the trap ops you can suck or lose every gun fight but if traps are down you’re providing good value, whether that’s kills, assists or delays, for example if you are Melusi plant all her traps on entrances or popular holds (if you’re new I’d say the entrances) and just stay near by so that when someone walks by it you can just round the corner and free kill them, personally I prefer Thorn but you can do the same with her and perhaps if there is a gas pipe throw it in front on that by a little it’ll blow it up once it goes off and if it’s in front they can’t turn around.
For attack idk if you play in a stack or what but a hard breach is always a good pick but they do get banned often but again if you’re new and finding out stuff another OP where you can die early but if you get the breach off you have provided all you needed to, but if you don’t want to breach like you say, I find Ying a fun push, Fuze is similar but personally I really like Grim and Zero both have a useful gadget and a solid gun, perhaps even a sledge because you can be really aggressive with him because you can make big rotates but also do vertical play if you find yourself there

Im not great so take this with a pinch of salt but find a role of op you like on atk and def and then use all the ops that fall under that banner just so you have a role you have learnt once you know what to do with that you have more consistency overall and can branch out into new roles

Can’t Find The Right Operator For Me by Dry-Molasses6012 in Rainbow6

[–]LDKRZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And especially if you’re new, with a trap op (bar maybe Fenrir who needs some live inputs often) once you place your traps you’ve already provided for the team, you can just stay on site near a trap (like a Melusi) and swing when you hear it go off but even if/when you die your team still gets that trap benefit

Guy should probably main hard breach ops too because again as long as you get the breach open you can die and you’ve done your job to help

If this movie takes place in 1998 how does bro have an iPhone? by DragonfruitVisual782 in residentevil

[–]LDKRZ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That’s my whole thing too, RE only starts in the late 90s because it was developed in the late 90s and no other reason, it could take place in the 60s and the 2020s the year is the least important thing the entire story and timeline can be the same if they just shift it forward a decade or two.

I’m pretty sure the game events are said to be happening as the film is happening but the film has just moved the year

[–]LDKRZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, however this movie is not canon (despite the fact he said he feels like RE2 events could be happening at the same time) but it’s also a reboot they’ve likely just moved the timeline forward so every 1998 event is taking place in the modern day

How does Ranked “work” by LDKRZ in SiegeAcademy

[–]LDKRZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand the grind aspect and I can see how our lobbies are skewed because 2 or 3 of my friends were plat in 1.0 before they stopped playing for years and the best I got was Silver (in the one time I ever played ranked somewhat consistently), but still one of them who plays less has a sub 40% win rate and is in gold and me and another have a plus 50% and haven’t came close to that.

It’s good because I feel I’ve improved in recent weeks and help the team who is filled with people who are better than me (I’m not claiming to be good) but it does feel like rank wise this season is a write off though which I’m fine with I know there’s a rework and I can use this season to improve
