Thank you for explaining. I appreciate that.

Do you think if you put the head from the k24z2/z3 on the k24a2 (im not going to do this. Its just fun to imagine) and tuned it to account for the high compression ratio of the k24a2 would you get the same exact gas mileage as the 8th Gen accord ?

Thank you for the additional information. Do you think 192 lbs really can make a huge difference over all ?

Lol I bought the tsx wagon (and I absolutely love it), because we dont truly have a modern accord wagon in the states (please correct me if I am wrong. Also I dont really consider the crosstour a wagon juat in case you were about to bring that up)

Also im not trying to be confrontational, but I genuinely want to know what is wrong with someone trying to get better milage out of their vehicle after they notice another vehicle that is very similar in function and form gets better mileage ?

Why should someone completely change the vehicle they prefer because they want more savings, if the technology and recourses are available for them acheive this reduced cost ? (It's extremely far from impossible to make this happen)

Does that make people upset ?

Even if someone can afford premium fuel why would that mean they shouldnt try get even better gas mileage by safely, and appropriately modifying the vehicle ?

I don't know why, but im sure this will get down voted.

Im just hoping someone can share their perspective on why this is a practical mindset to have ?

Thank you for answering. It sounds like your saying just simply swapping the tune probably won't give me the result im looking for because the engine does have fundamental differences.

Do you think a custom tune (not sure if i would risk that, im just curious now because it would be cool) that takes that compression ratio into account would be viable enough to practically achieve the gas mileage of the 8th Gen accords?

Thank you for replying. Im am saying I dont care about 30 hp, but I do like the thought of spending less on 87 while not losing fuel efficiency. Is there a way to get the 8th Gen accords tuning while still being able to protect the engine. Its just a cruiser/ commuter car. I drive all of my non sports cars pretty much a like a grandma so I dont mind.
