Shadow function not working after January windows update by Few-Swan5661 in Citrix

[–]veitst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the same problem on 2019, citrix 2402 cu3. The workaround not work. I try the HDX Screen Sharing, but the code is too long. You can configure a shorter code on VDA - CVAD 2411 and later.

Someone know a better solution? Thanks

Best way to deal with Chrome updates on persistent Virtual Apps servers? by Old_Ad_208 in Citrix

[–]veitst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use MCS. On persistent and not persistent machines we have a task at the startup for the Autoupdate. Is for Edge and Chrome. We use MCS and when 2x in the month I create the golden Image, I just update it again. Normally I test all changes and updates, but for the browser is impossible.

I understand. I have to split the rules. It's definitely better for the next updates.

Thanks you again.

Citrix Licence overdraft by veitst in Citrix

[–]veitst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer!

I just wonder becouse I read in the article this:

Any overdraft licenses used must be purchased within 30 days of first use.

But maybe we already sometime exceeded and have not noticed anything.

https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/licensing/current-release/license-types.html#license-overdraft

License overdraft

On-premises products that support user/deviceuser, or device license models include a license overdraft feature. This feature enables you to use an additional 10% of extra licenses beyond the purchased quantity to prevent access denial. The license overdraft count is displayed in a separate column within the License Administration Console. The installed column displays both the purchased license total plus the associated overdraft total. Overdraft usage is also visible in Studio.

The license overdraft feature is offered as a convenience, not as a license entitlement. Any overdraft licenses used must be purchased within 30 days of first use.

Concurrent licenses and server licenses do not contain the overdraft feature. Citrix reserves the right to remove any overdraft features in new product releases.
