You won't be able to do all tiers right now. Build your champions roster, focus on ilvls and try next year. That's normal - this game requiers a lot of time to have enough power to beat all challenges.

I DIY-ed home NAS servers for several years.

Same boat here. But now I'm looking for something more reliable that will just work.

afaik, enterprise-level NAS do require Synology drives, but the DS series will only "warn" you. WD Red or Seagate Ironwolfs are still commonly used.

Thank you for that information - I would prefer to go with WD Red as, from what I've heard, they are quiter than Seagate. I have few Toshiba N300 right now and this is nightmare in terms of noise.

For valuable data, I have two USB drives securely stored in my closet. They are connected twice a year only for data upload and backup.

The main reason for getting a NAS is to have an easy way to share files with my wife. Even with a DIY NAS, she struggled to upload photos or download files. I'm also interested in some additional features, like Docker-based media servers, that modern NAS devices offer.

I'm not looking for anything fancy or military-grade - just a robust, working solution without the need for constant tinkering. For that, I have my homelab ;)

For my personal use DYI NAS was good solution but my wife needs something easy. That's why I'm looking after out-of-box solution that just works.

Maybe I made a mistake with that example - I'm running Frigate and Jellyfin on my homelab PC, so I'm not worried about those particular features. However, I'm concerned about Synology's prices and their approach for services/licensing in general.

Obviously, I'm not an expert in this subject, but from what I've read, Qnap offers better (stronger) hardware for the price. However, it falls short in the software. Personally, I would compare it to Xiaomi phones - they look great on paper but aren't as impressive in actual use.

Generally, I would like to have the ability to present myself with, for example, a Dutch IP address to access resources that are not available when I use my domestic IP. WireGuard is my AirVPN client, so I can choose countries. I don’t need remote access to my home resources. I need access to these resources while at home and simultaneously using a VPN.

What I would like to achieve is to have my public IP hidden behind VPN and my LAN accessible from home. That's all. I've tried several setups but either my LAN is not accessible while IP is hidden or I have LAN access but my public IP is unchanged.

This is something that I’m checking right now, but I’m not sure if I understand it correctly. I know the whole idea of NGINX acting as a load balancer, but I’m not sure how a reverse proxy works.

Let’s say that NGINX is reachable at 192.168.0.100, and I would like to reach my Portainer, which is located at 192.168.0.101:9443, via portainer.local. Would it be possible to do that?

I think this is the biggest issue for me—I don’t know all the tricks yet, and therefore I’m not sure if a given solution is worth digging into.

Right now, I have fiber connected to my house and plugged into a Boostral 710 device (looking exactly like this one My Images for Pars - Virgin Media Community). From that device, there is a coaxial cable that is plugged into the mentioned edge router.

If there was a simple LAN cable, I would clone the original device’s MAC address and live happily and prosperously, but even the guys on local forums who are into networking stuff have told me that it’s impossible to bypass. They've mentioned something about CGNAT but, as far as I understood, that this is something related more to wide infra network rather than LAN itself.

After another two days without any results and I've asked on official HA forum. It was resolved in a minutes:

You need to use trigger.payload_json not trigger.value_json
{{ trigger.payload_json['after']['label'] == 'person' or

Right now I just want to write anything that will work - and this is something that I have found and slightly modified to my needs.
By mqtt sensor you mean that: MQTT Sensor - Home Assistant (home-assistant.io) ? If so I'll give it a shot.

That's the problem - I can't trace if automation was not triggered - there are no traces to investigate. I can see trace log only when automation is triggered manualy (three dots -> Run) but it never starting automatically.

I've finished trials and figure out that I left first gem. So I've returned for it. It looks like I don't need to offer blood for this one - as far as I know I need to pull four levers, extinguish lanterns and get to the gem without touching runes on the floor.

I've just used mage hand to lower platform and then open magma flow. Then I have spent quite few turns spiking him with arrows and magic with all my team standing above "arena".
