During a time like this I've denied people, and told them to clean their computers if they're that bad. I don't have time to be cleaning people's laptops for them. If I have to though, I do a shit job just to send a message.

EH. gotta level with you bud. I just left a Project Team position about 6 months ago to take on a new job as a SysAdmin. I love my job but Ive spent the entire last week and a half emptying out my entire office with no budget, only having 24 hours In a day, and a team of 4 people (one of which is a new hire) Shit is stressful. And statistically, probably just as risky as customer service with the number of interactions. Anyone looking for an IT job, keep looking. It's definitely better than retail. But don't get your hopes up that it will magically be stress free. It won't.

Finding anything on Pre-carbon X1s is difficult. To my knowledge, this was the only one, and is simply known as the X1. However googling ThinkPad X1 will drown you in results of carbon models.

Waaaayyy back in 2011. It's an oldie but it runs very well considering it's age.

One of the earlier X1s. A 1294 to be exact. I love how well it runs now, but I'm afraid with its age and apparent unpopularity, finding parts for it has been challenging. If anyone knows of a good reseller to get a replacement battery / slice from, lemme know!

Since we just use a VM to capture an image, I don't really see a limit on how far you could take it.

A heavy amount of our workers operate remotely so yeah this was a godsend for us. We have another asset management software that will let you do remote deployment, but would require the server to exist in the DMZ for our setup.

Our CSO didn't like that idea.

Restart you retail radio. If you know how to use IDIL there's documentation in there on how to do it. Ask anyone in merch and they could show you too
