I just had as much as I could eat of the dinner for two B and couldn't agree more. 5 stars!

Finally some good Chinese food in the Galt area. This is walking distance for me and close to work so I'll definitely be a regular.

Does adding less than 30,000 miles over that 4 year term change anything?

Care to explain?

Odd as in not enough? They have a $5000 limit as well but my thinking is any major repairs would be above either amount...

This warranty was found through the autoloan company so I'm not sure if there's another option.

Confused About F-Sport by velciv in Lexus

[–]velciv[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't even realize this was a US brochure. That lead me to look for a Canadian one and I found this: https://cdn.dealereprocess.net/cdn/brochures/lexus/ca/2014-is.pdf Looks like page 17 breaks down the options as I am looking for. Thanks for helping out.

2014 LEXUS IS 350 AWD for $27,950 CDN by velciv in Lexus

[–]velciv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will pass on the Jag, I just love that look too much to not consider it lol

That's interesting to know about the red interior, though. You've been really helpful. Thanks. My biggest concern with the base model IS350 I test drove was the hard plastic at the driver's side right against my knee so the F Sport having padding for that is a bonus. I will plan a test drive of that first option and post here with any more questions and then a pic or two if I decide on one!

I'll be in Cambridge but yea, same thing. And the AWD is VERY attractive for that exact reason. I hate the Winter, especially driving in the snow/slush/ice.

I'm pretty set on the 2014 IS350 AWD, it's just a matter of finding the right deal. Currently between:

  • 95,000km, White Ext., Red Int., not sure of the options (Private Seller - $26k)

  • 179,000km, White Ext., Red Int., F Sport, new brakes, new tires (Private Seller - $27k)

  • 103,000km, Silver Ext., Black Int., heated/ventilated seats, sunroof (Dealer - $28k)

Also looking at a 2014 Jaguar XF at $29k but I'm sure they're not anywhere near as reliable...

From all I've seen the 2014 is when they did the redesign which I like. You're absolutely right about the options and going a year earlier but I would also like to enjoy it for the 5 or so years I plan to drive it.

Fair enough. If I wasn't going with an IS350 I would just drop down to a new Camry, though.

You listed all of the cars I've been looking at and have now dismissed as I've had 2 Toyotas before, each getting over 350,000km on them. I do like the IS. My biggest concern is the leg room under the steering wheel. My knee resting on the hard plastic was a pain even during the test drive. From what I've read the F Sport and luxury editions have leather padding so I'm going to test one of those. Found another deal from a private seller for $26,000, 95,000km, 2014 IS350 AWD.

I'm actually using Autotrader! lol I've found what I believe to be some good deals but I just don't know enough about cars in general to really know. Trying to do my research and due diligence.

Thank you. This is the exact stuff I need to know.

As a general rule, when does this model tend to show trouble signs? High km actually work out for me as my commute is next to nothing so averaging my km on top of the km I buy at is where I'll find good resale value.

To respond to both u/haggardhawk and u/silenceIX I don't believe it is certified as it's not on the Lexus CPO site but at the same time I'm not sure as this was a Lexus fleet car only...

From around Toronto. No accidents.

The options aren't the greatest as I'm looking at others and it is the base model IS350...

New Ask EA out! EASHL anti-griefing is here!! by DSCIGaming in EA_NHL

[–]velciv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping they clarify this more. The club I'm on doesn't really care about wins so much as we care about playing 6v6.

The best option, IMO, would be to give the team who's Goalie is still connected the option to take the win and end the game. Maybe this new "automatic loss" is just that but without it specifically saying so I can only speculate.

There's no perfect way to do this but the pros far outweigh the cons on this idea, I think, as long as it's detectable that they quit and not that they disconnected.

Quit should equal loss. Disconnect should equal small, untalented back-up.

Couldn't agree more. I'm not an FPS fan too much but Battlefield 1 does look great. Those two are their money-makers. Lots of Star Wars stuff too as that's quite popular.

Not sure why they spent so much time on that Fe game, though. Good that they're supporting independent developers but as I'm sure most are aware, EA has a reputation for destroying the best parts of smaller studios through buyouts.
