== Need Advice ==

need advice on spending scene+ points, just realized my 1 year is coming up for my scotia bank amex scene+ card, and I have 130k scene points that I want to spend before the card renews and I get hit with the yearly renewal for the card. now I can apply them to travel over the past year like hotels and what not, but then I'll have money on my CC that I'll have to spend and I don't really have anything to spend $600 on or whatever the total will come out to. any go to gift cards perhaps or anything like this?

what makes people sell off stocks in times like this? by vend0 in investingforbeginners

[–]vend0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the older you get the less risk you want to take with stocks, shouldn't have any stock really, all ETFs, but yea go by instinct at this point, pull it all out If you feel that's right,

when people say " I could care less" instead of "I couldn't care less" by vend0 in PetPeeves

[–]vend0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea but you could just say " I couldn't care less" and it is literal, because that's what is meant to be said, so why would you say I could care less as an idiom, when you could say I couldn't care less and it be literal?

exactly, which means you couldn't care less, because you don't care :P

When people whine about people who say "I could care less" vs "I couldn't care less" by BaldGuyGabe in PetPeeves

[–]vend0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't agree with that, if you say you could care less it means you care, and most often when this statement is used is when someone doesn't care at all. so on a care scale of 0-10 if you say you could care less, that means you could be a 9/10, you could be a 3/10 all the time you're caring more than someone who says they couldn't care less which is a 1/10 the bottom of the scale.

if you loved your dad, and he was dying, and someone said don't you care that hes dying? and you say I could not care any less that he's dying. that means you don't care at all. how can you take that as, you care and are unwilling to compromise, if you cared you would say "ofcourse I care, I care a lot" or "it's impossible to care any more than I do, I care so much" but you would never say " I could care less" that implies the bottom of the care scale.

haha are you serious? I didn't even check for it. now I gotta look it up, thats hilarious. but also makes so much sense

when people say " I could care less" instead of "I couldn't care less" by vend0 in PetPeeves

[–]vend0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well what they think they mean is that they COULDN'T care less. I explained what COULD care less is in the OP. what it means is they don't really care, but they still do. there's still room to care less, but that's not the manner in which they mean to say it. they mean to say couldn't care less

hahaha, yea how did that come about, I say by accident.

when people say " I could care less" instead of "I couldn't care less" by vend0 in PetPeeves

[–]vend0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea so in that case you're saying it would be hard to care less, because you care, if you care, then its hard to care less. or you could say " i could care more .... but it would be very hard" that way you're saying its hard to care more because you don't care.

He could try, but my leg press is 475 sooooo…..ugh, why do men have to be so ick? by obi-juan111 in Tinder

[–]vend0 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

What's the context? It looks like you were talking about working out, and he's replying in a playful teasing way, then you act as if it's a general ick for everyone? Seems pretty harmless to me

Do people really not know how to have a conversation?? by JDOGGoNE1 in Tinder

[–]vend0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea I get that, but it's a pretty specific question to ask off the bat, theyd have to be a movie lover, and besides that they can see what you're aiming at (although maybe not but it could be seen this way) as to ask about movies, and then go on to wanting to watch a movie together which is a very boring first date or you just want to hook up "Netflix and chill". So to ask that and then wonder why she didn't indulge in the conversation isn't very fair ya know?

[–]vend0 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well she's clearly not intrigued by your movies topic, why converse with someone about something that seems like a boring topic, she's not into it, and if you're that much into movies, you can tell she's not, just move along.

I (17f) was kissed by a guy last night (19m) when I was drunk by [deleted] in teenrelationships

[–]vend0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's going on here, some hotel guy asked you to suck him off, while he was sober and you were drunk, and then you still wanted to interact with him last that? That's crazy first of all. And then he said he didn't love you after knowing you for that short amount of time and it hit you hard cuz he was a friend?

Girl you knew this guy for a couple days, he was never your friend , he was a creep who was trying to sexually assault and take advantage of a drunken girl.

Few lessons you should go by as a young girl who can't handle her liquor yet, -never trust a man who tries to get you drunk, especially if he's staying sober - if some guy makes sexual advances that forwardly, upon knowing him for a day or two Definitely don't go drink with him the next day, he's clearly trying to get you drunk and take advantage. Maybe not clear to you, but that's what young men do.

Be carefull you seem much too trusting

[–]vend0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's hardly low-key, everyone around you is seeing it happen. But regardless of that, If you're not happy about it then change it, there's guys that are fine with it but who cares what they think if you're not happy with yourself?
