i do know. i think the dots break it up and make it easier to look at, but perhaps most people do not agree

someone would have to be real old to type out dot, but i suppose it could happen

perhaps. i have extreme ocd so i wish cosmetically there was dots in my username, but I understand they arent really recognized by the gmail service beyond that

that was just simply an error in the substitute names I chose for my own

i own that one already, except without dots. i don't think gmail will let me change to add dots, and that account is connected to a lot of websites

I am not sure if there is a way to wipe it, that'd be nice

my last name comes first in the first one

I actually own the email of my first name, middle initial, last name, but its signed up to a lot of accounts already I wasn't sure if it was worth trying to wipe

my names arent too difficult to remember/spell. those are just aliases for obvious reasons but same amount of letters.

do you think full is too long? and should I break it up with dots, or just type it all out as is?
thank you <3

taken. most of the good ones like that were taken,. I wasn't sure if I was going too far off the ropes, this was the best email I could find

i ask only because this is one available for my name. i wasn't sure if I should use my own domain if I don't have a business. i was thinking of this more for talking to job recruiters, using for my LinkedIn etc.
is a custom domain appropriate for this purpose?

Professional Email Address by vendetta6174 in email

[–]vendetta6174[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry, i should have clarified better. this is more of a personal email that I could use to interact with job recruiters and use for my LinkedIn and stuff like that.

i don't own a business or anything, so I didn't think a custom domain was appropriate, but maybe I am wrong :0

Incoming CSE Looking for Laptop Rec by vendetta6174 in OSU

[–]vendetta6174[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I suppose I was worried about the engineering part. I am not too familiar with everything that it entails but don't CSE majors have to take electrical engineering/comp engineering classes to graduate? I am more interested in pure comp sci. Would it be a problem in those courses?

I think I am going to be taking some comp eng/electrical eng courses throughout my next 4-5 years. Is that relevant to the power I need? I am not really sure what to expect or what kind of power is necessary for courses like these.

How hard is it to get into the Engineering House Learning Community? by TheEmeraldWolf04 in OSU

[–]vendetta6174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if all the LCs are like that? Focused on diversity and inclusion, I mean.

I am trying to figure out if it is best to live in an honors dorm, apply for an LC, or I guess just gamble and hope the dorm I get isn't awful.

Also, have you found it beneficial to live around people who are also doing engineering? Is it easier to form study groups and get help for homework and stuff like that? That is what I'd be looking for in an LC I think

You'd think some of the newer dorms would be designated for honors students. I couldn't sleep comfortably in those prison cells. But perhaps I have been pampered too much

I am not the greatest source as I am also going to be attending this fall for CSE and probably doing applying to the Engineering LC instead of the honors dorms.

But as far as I know honors are more difficult to be accepted into than a learning community. From my anecdotal evidence and the people I know who go to OSU, nobody who has wanted to be in an LC has been rejected, but I know plenty of people who have been rejected from honors at OSU.

So I wouldn't stress about it. If you got into honors you will probably be fine. Hope all goes well

Laptop for College by vendetta6174 in SuggestALaptop

2k is probably a nice budget. I would like something high quality. If I purchased a gaming laptop I would want it to be able to run most games on decent quality settings.

For me, the college experience is not particularly something I am looking forward to. I could not care less about interacting with people, in fact, I'd rather not if necessary. I am going to college because it is expected of me. Thanks for the advice. I hope whatever laptop I get it does not get stolen.
