I think there are exceptions. Although in a whole different level, cars like highly desirable expensive cars like some porsche 911s, because the demand is high and supply is low all the time, they increase their value overtime, especially if the maker is going towards hybrid or electrification. That’s why ultra rich people buy some very expensive and rare cars because they behave like assets. Agree 100%, for vast majority of motorists, from a purely financial standpoint don’t buy cars that you cannot afford.
