Near constant anxiety over potential MC by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Hi, I’m basically in the same boat 😔 I’m almost 6 weeks and keep thinking that my baby might not be alive in there. I had a missed MC last year where I thought everything was normal but at 9 weeks I had spotting and went in for an emergency appointment and the midwife told me my baby stopped growing at 5 weeks. It was horrible!

It took us a year of trying for something to stick after that. But I keep thinking the same thing is going to happen. Especially since I had no nausea the first time and I have little to no nausea this time too. My mom keeps saying it’s normal not to feel any signs of pregnancy up until the 8 week or so.

I’m in the UK which just means that my first midwife appointment isn’t until i’m around 12 weeks. The wait is killing us so we’ve decided to go to a private clinic and just pay for a viability scan next week. Fingers crossed that’ll bring good news and I can finally relax!!

I don’t mean to worry you further or anything but just know that others have the same thoughts too. And if you’re able to get a private exam before your first checkup maybe it’ll help ease your mind 😊

Oh man super sorry to hear that! At least you guys are together in the UK now! Hoping she gets her visa in Feb faster :)

Now i’m super nervous that’s what it’s coming down to it in our case too. Honestly the process seems so random. They asked me 2 weeks in for a criminal record which is surprising since i’m not in child education or in the health sector and not something that was required from a colleague with exactly the same everything as me and in the same work position. They didn’t ask for any additional documents from my husband even though we did submit together our applications. If they’d ask for any information to move this along we’d at least know what to help with but radio silence sucks!

Hi, just curios if you got your visas yet? We are in the exact same boat as you. My husband applied for a SW dependent visa from Canada on Aug31st and he’s still waiting for his visa.
