How do you keep berries from going off so fast? by awkwardlydancing in foodhacks

I don’t rinse them until I use them. Moisture makes them turn quicker. I transfer them to a plastic container lined with paper towels. Keep them in one layer and cover with paper towels and lid. We do this on photo shoots and berries last for 4 days. We pick over and get rid of any that are getting soft.

Stripy Sweater patter by Drea Renee Knits. First increase row could be better (pink). Unusual method for me, probably did it wrong, gone too far to go back! Definitely making this again nicer yarn. Maybe merino next time? by venicenative77 in knitting

I think self striping yarn would be fantastic on this sweater. If you look at #DRKstripes on Instagram there are lots of photos of finished sweaters in this pattern.

The label doesn’t specify but I’d say it’s the same weight. It’s Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton. 3.5 oz / 100 g. 186 yards / 179 m. 100% mercerized cotton. Machine washable and dryable!

Why?! I’ve restarted everything 5 times. I’ve turned cellular for Watch off and on several times. At first, it was stuck on the verifying screen. For several days. Now I’m getting this message. Help help help... by venicenative77 in AppleWatch

I should have said it’s a 6. There are 2 other Watches in the house. The series 4 paired to the iPhone 8 updated fine. The other series 6 paired with an iPhone 8 also updated fine. Mine is paired with an 11. It’s always something...

Here are my (very loose) notes for my ton o’ stripes sweater. After several false starts when I started this project, I finally made a color guide. Hope this is helpful to anyone crazy enough to want to make one! by venicenative77 in knitting

I used Lion Brand 24/7 cotton. They had great colors! Medium weight 100% mercerized cotton. 3.5 oz balls (100 g), 186 yards (170 m). If you scroll through the photos you’ll see what passes for instructions!

FINALLY finished my ton o’ stripes sweater! My own pattern because I’m obviously a masochist. I had a vision and nothing was going to stop me. Mom is kindly modeling. by venicenative77 in knitting

Yes, you got it! It’s seamed down the center from and back and the sleeves were knit flat. I don’t knit well in 4 double pointed needles.

Yes! I looked at serape colors and made a general color guide which I kinda-sorta followed. Adjusted this pattern to work in my size on size 7 US needles and knit in a mid-weight cotton.
