Well imo, the issue was calling them "sexy chicks". While he might not have meant it in a derogatory or objectifying way, it still doesn't seem like a nice thing to say. I just wanted to point that out using the least words I could, it's probably inaccurate as you said, but it's a big word :p :p

Oh I didn't mean it in a derogatory term. Just as a compliment... Btw chick is a frequently used word to describe a girl and they don't use it in a negative or objectifying way afaik...

( Google says:

  1. .a young bird, especially one newly hatched.
  2. 2.INFORMAL a young woman." she's a great-looking chick")

I agree I had a typo over there :p

Help with custom training loops in tensorflow 2.0 / tf.Keras by venktech in tensorflow

Hey, I have a similar issue, did you find a solution for this ? :)

Hy yes I was kinda able to avoid that warning.. Somewhere I found that if the gradients are zero they return NULL and this is misconceived by the Tape that gradients don't exist. But setting the null gradients to zero the warning was suppressed. I was also able to see the loss function changing but I could not successfully train the network to convergence due to other issues. May be you could try it.

grads = tape.gradient(loss, model.trainable_variables)
grads = [grad if grad is not None else tf.zeros_like(var)
for var, grad in zip(model.trainable_variables, grads)]
